Did I say you are wrong? No. I said if that is the case then everyone in Fallout are idiots and Bethesda messed up since they had paranoid people miss an obvious clue about a synth, having him be their leader no less. And the Brotherhood whom has regular evaluations missed the fact that a soldier of theirs was obviously a synth.

A synth is an inbetween between a robot and a synth. If a robot's mind can be put into a synth brain and work, so can a human's. I mean, we do essentially that when we connect to Nick's mind in order to access the data in Kelogg's cyborg brain implant. At the very least we can become cyborgs and achieve the same result, since Kelogg hadn't aged a day in at least sixty years.

The terminal on Father's computer stated that they're slowing down the aging, but Kellogg still ages, the plan has been abandoned and only the Institute knows how to even do it, so it woud only possible with the Institute ending anyway if you want to go that route. Kellogg has an actual brain, but just with cyborg component, it's different from the machine that store data like with robots and synths. Nothing stops you from headcanon stuffs, if you think that's possible, no one stopping you.

I'll just shoot up Lorenzo's blood serum instead thank you very much ...

Me, too, I feel like even if it's possible, it would just be a robot with my memory instead of "me". I'd rather stay as myself instead of running any of those risks.

And all it takes is letting a psychopath roam free for all eternity.  Not very KISA of you. I doubt Danse would approve.

Most of the Institute personnel escape if you activate the evacuation, so not really.

Danse didn't approve, he was with me xD But the reality? I don't know how bad he is, all I have is the word of his son who locked him into a tiny room for 400 years

That is what I don't get, they keep talking about how bad he is, but they never actually show it. Why is he bad? He's a bit eccentric, but you would be, too, if you were locked in there for hundreds of years.

Danse was pretty funny during that scene when he got mad and said we don't kill innocent people, but then he did most of the killing. lol

Gen 3 are relatively new, new enough to not cause a stir for not aging like a regular human.

They do wear out it might not be aging but they eventually get to the point where they're no longer functional. It's on one of the terminals in the Institute.

Also the synths have to do something similar to aging (or they erode fast enough for it not to be an issue giving them around a decade lifespan) otherwise the new memories thing makes no sense. They'd be even more confused by the fact that they're not aging than anything else after a while. Because yeah if they don't age the whole replacing people makes little sense unless the position was to be very brief and the mayor was not meant to be a brief replacement. (And I doubt most of the others were either tbh).

And if you read the terminal, most of the Institute people are killed by raiders and mutants, they evacuated without anything on them, they live all their life within the confined of the Institute and unprepared with everything handed to them. Some commit suicide like with Patriot. Even then, do you honestly expect them to help you after destroying their life, their livelihood, their friends and family, and everything they ever know? Do you even know who knows about the cyborg program after being shut down for a long time? Each division responsible for different stuffs, so you think you're gonna find some scientist in the correct department, who was involved and/or has knowledge on the program, who didn't get killed by raiders and mutants, who has the correct equipment or can recreate it, and who didn't hold a grudge against you for destroying everything they know?

I'll take the serum until depreciation does us part. Hopefully I'd find someone to tune Danse.

Not looking forward to the day the BoS leaves and wants me to come with...

Unless you did the Institute ending I doubt that'd be on the table especially considering the synth facilities were blown up.

Eww siding with the BOS. Never. If I don't side with the Institute it's Minutemen. They might have a million fetch quests but hey they're more tolerable than BOS.

Change his face to Kaidan and pretend he's a new mute initiate. Everyone would recognize his George Clooney voice othewise.

If you don't like it, give him a Mr Groucho glasses, but then, they have the same eyebrows, so it's basically just Danse with a mustache.

I also want to be able to get married to Blackwall (he's marriage material despite him being as boring as crap), Josie, and Dorian. I don't want to get married to Iron Bull, lol. My Cadash is fine doing what there doing currently.

Even if you don't side with Lorenzo you get somewhere from 8 to 12 concentrated vials of it, and Jack said they heavily dilute the stuff, so it would probably last a long time - that way Danse is happy you're not killing the spoiled family and you get the serum too. (I kind of regret not letting Lorenzo out, the family gets hooked on his blood and gets to live a decadent life, and he gets trapped in a cage for half a millennium...)

You'll change your mind after the 50th trip to Abernathy farm. There's around 400 people in the other settlements, but those three take up more resources and have more problems than the rest combined. Preston will not be pleased, but one more mission and I'm killing them

I missed the who did you romance question so here it is

DAO: hacked Alistair on second run (he had like one line that didn't fit, it worked out quite well), then Morrigan in the canon, because I thought it would be more interesting if it ever became relevant and it was)

DA2: Anders, loved the romance and story so much

DAI: Dorian, although I'm not that set on him, might try romancing Bull next time

ME: Steve was nice, but my main romance was Kaidan (although I picked the synthesis ending, so I wish there was a way to get Kaidan and Steve together, that way - no more dead lovers, and they're both kind and gentle, I think they would be a great couple)

Skyrim: Farkas, because he's cute and hey, I get to marry a werewolf (someone mentioned it, I also like the "handsome monster" thing)

Fallout 4: Dance, of course, I mean strong and handsome type with a tragic past, how could I not romance him (and all three ways he can die in his personal quest are too hard too watch, and after it I get the feeling that he, just like Anders, is the only companion that will not bounce back and probably will not get in a relationship with anybody)

Bonus

Jade Empire: Sky (wait, what, I can romance a man?! What's this magic? yep, I'm doing it)

Fable: "we're good mates, aren't we?" "nice, this"

I'd probably prefer the next KISA to be human or qunari, I don't know why

Danse is also my favorite! I can have 2 favorites!

The moment I saw the Prydwen fly in I started to bleed brotherhood, I'll never not pick the Brotherhood. The MM are nice and all but most of them are farmers that can't even repair their own damn fence.

Oh no I eventually started letting it say fail. IDGAF. I still prefer the Minutemen over the BOS. (Can't wait for a mod that actually has my defenses matter when I'm not there though. Mod of the year right there).

Oh I have many failed ones (both by choice and by glitches), I did them mainly to max out affinity with my companions (I only have Danse left, his quest is still before me, and X6, because I'm right before Institutionalized and since I hate the Institute and that will probably not change, I think I won't bother). I kinda feel all the factions are weak, the BOS, RR, and Institute are self-righteous dicks, who are in too deep to see how much damage they do, and the MM depends on basically one person and will immediately fall apart at first sign of trouble, because they're almost all farmers. Where's my Yes Man faction?

If anyone interested in MacCready, I love the remix made by DanaDuchy. It meshes so well together, it's like a short date between the two.

There is a mod to stop that, so you can choose to do it yourself. I mostly just ignore those quests since I don't care too much about settlements. Too limited at the moment.

I still haven't decided my canon ending yet between the Institute and the BoS, my ideology is leaning toward the Institute, but then you would lose Danse forever. :( . BoS ending is cool as well, and it's my second favorite. The MM ending is basically similar to the RR ending, but I could give two craps about the incompetent RR and you were made sentinel in that ending. In the grand scheme of things, once Maxson left for the capital, you're likely to be in charge and could influence the direction of the Commonwealth. Still, would be cool if they implement the cut content where Danse is a part of the BoS again. There is only so much kamikaze Vertibirds I can take while traveling with Danse.

Agreed the only berable faction is the minutemen but they have so many stupid design choices (and it's really design choices) that I don't get it.

The MM would be Yes Man if the freaking defenses did anything. That's what makes me so annoyed. It's like they had everything set for them to start getting some reliability and becoming an actual player in the commonwealth and then threw it away by making it so they're helpless babies without you holding their hand (like why don't the MM you can summon level with you? Why can't they get better equipment once you do Old Guns? WHY ARE THEY ALWAYS WEAKSAUSE WHEN THERE'S NO REASON FOR THEM TO BE?!?) Why don't said minutemen help with the kidnapping defenses quest? (Hell what actually made me facepalm once was I "failed" to defend Hangsman's Alley. I go there and there's a bunch of minutemen walking away, nothing was damaged and no one was killed. Why on earth isn't that the norm?) They have a damn radio. You'd think other people would respond instead of you! They have the means to get training, they have freaking artillery. But you have to tell them to do EVERYTHING because they're braindead for some reason without the player. It's rage inducing.

Yeah, that's my point. In NV for the good Yes Man ending you need to beef up the defences, otherwise it's chaos. The game responds to you setting up security. After that, it's self sufficient. The settlements are a bottomless pit you can throw resources and turrets in and it will never be enough. One settlement had 700 defence, I failed to denfed it and no one died, but literally everything was broken. After the sole survivor dies/goes away they will all die, because as you've said, there's not a single person who can do, well anything on their own. Old Guns was also frustrating, she basically came and said "oh yes I abandoned the MM, because whatever, and now I come back to interrogate you, because I'm so worthy and you're not."

Honestly, if you could mix the best parts of BOS and the Institute, plus maybe RR, if you go with what Bethesda wanted you to think of them, you could easily bring The Commonwealth to pre-war state in like 40-50 years. Any faction on their own won't really achieve much, which was probably the point.

Oh then we're agreed on that XD

Honestly the Institute would be enough if they weren't oooh experimentation and mass murder are a-ok! Like they have no empathy. Bleh. I still rather helpless babies over kill you for your tech BOS and experiment for science! Institute.

I wanted to max out relationships, so I could take Danse on all main quests, and for the majority of companions this is a quick way to do it
