I also want to be able to get married to Blackwall (he's marriage material despite him being as boring as crap), Josie, and Dorian. I don't want to get married to Iron Bull, lol. My Cadash is fine doing what there doing currently.

I feel the same way, I just couldn't get into Iron Bull. However I wish we could marry Cullen, but sadly he's only into the ladies. Also I want it to be a big one wedding, with all our team there. Let's not forget the honeymoon. lol XD Those things would be sweet.

Hey, the white outfit is awesome, it's my Danse's go-to outfit since I like the casual look on him to contrast his military attitude, plus, he looks like a stay at home dad in that.

It would be cool if they expand companions in DLC, there are a lot of stuffs they can explore like Danse's story with the brotherhood, Rhys becomes grateful when giving out quests, he still treats you like an initiate even after he apologizes to you after becoming sentinel. I wouldn't mind more romance lines, like random stuffs they said around the world or a kiss would be cool. I doubt they could do sex scene with different body shapes, but it's not something I care too deeply about.

I don't mean that I hate it (although the outfit is a bit too middle age teacher with the orange sweater). I mean that an ironed white and beige outfit in a post nuclear war world where irons and washing machines are scrap and clean water is a luxury, makes zero sense and is kinda immersion breaking. And it makes for a bad cover, in that anyone would stick out like a sore thumb. So I kinda see it as another nod to the fact that the railroad is incompetent, if that is their idea of covert...

We'll see what they do, but fixing that weirdness with, as you mentioned Rhys, or the fact that you can help a ghoul settlement, do missions with Hancock and Bobbi, and you still get an option to ask what a ghoul is... This is caused by how they structure their games, so I wouldn't expect them to fix that. Bethesda doesn't do scripted animated scenes, so sex scenes will 100% not happen. More romance? Maybe. It's the first time they have given so much thought to companions, so anything's possible.

Oh yeah I definitely ignore that. I just use the weave and put it on my own clothes (why on earth isn't the vault suit upgradeable without mods? It's only the most iconic outfit with the most comments in the game devs! >_< )  I never ran with Deacon yet. (I should but I don't think our personalities mesh :P)

Oh god that always is good for a chuckle. poor Danse is having some issues letting go.

I ended up not liking him so much. Maybe because of his dude-bro voice. He's the only companion, with whom I used the "aggressive" responses in his affinity talks. May have to do with my dislike of the RR. I'M HONESTLY TRUSTING TINKER TOM WITH THAT INVALUABLE CHIP?!?! I just did that part and I couldn't believe it, a guy who sees dumb conspiracies everywhere and is constantly on drugs is supposed to be my best choice? UGH

Poor tin can, it's probably all those fumes from power armor grease, can't be good for you.

Did Shelley Duvall make a cameo in the Gay KISA thread?  How have I gotten this far in my life without realizing how much I needed that to happen......?

There's very little in life that cannot be made better with a Shining reference ;)

Youch. I like using the aggressive responses because the "wow you're a dick." responses are gold (especially Nick's.) And yeah don't get me started on having to trust them with the chip. The only alternative is going on a murder spree and doing it yourself but then Father acts like you did it with the RR anyway. ._.

I have such a big need for a gay KISA in the next installment, but more than that, I'm hoping for a feel good gay romance with a heartwarming, happy ending!

I want the gay KISA to value romance and love, and make my character feel loved, needed and wanted. Just very cheesy, romantic, storybook romance. That'd be so great.

NOTE: All of this is my point of view and my shallow observations, just FYI. ALSO TRESPASSER SPOILERS!

With Dorian, he is kinda new to the whole love thing, and he is a bit of a pessimist about where the whole relationship will lead and if it's such a smart idea to start up anything. He is almost certain that he is in for a heartbreak. He isn't necessarily the most romantic guy either, and there are, TO ME, only a few times in the game where he really opens up and I feel my heart beat for his devotion to me, but that's only a few times and it's not enough. Otherwise he is playing up to his sassy, narcissistic act/attitude, who doesn't really take anything seriously, which kinda turns me off. He is at the same time '' I want you but I don't think it's wise for me to want you because I don't want my heart broken and I don't want people to think less of you because they think less of me '' AND '' Yeah, I know you want me though, as I am so painfully handsome and charming! '' which is a bit of a deadly cocktail.

Unless you are fine with a long distance relationship and see it as a valid form of a relationship, you won't be getting a happy ending for this romance, which upsets me.

And then we have Bull, I love bull and romance him every time. But there's this creeping feeling that I need him, I want him, I love him more than he needs, wants or loves me. This is more apparent to me in the Trespasser DLC rather than the main game though. It's like there's a lack of passion from him in Trespasser: he doesn't want to get married but after I become a bit upset, he says '' fine, i'll do it if you want it so after all this is done '' and he doesn't sound TOO concerned about his partner potentially dying (sure we change I love yous, but I wish Bull was a bit more concerned, angry or sad and wanted to do ANYTHING to save me. I wish his reaction would be more like Dorian's... but I guess that's just Bull's character?).

And here we go again.. The Trespasser's ending implies that life takes the Inquisitior and Bull apart (while it's very abstract for how long and how far, it still sucks). I can't be truly happy with this ending either! It just doesn't make me go '' awwww '' it makes me go '' BAWWWW WHY WONT YOU STAY BY MY SIDE BULL I NEED U WHY CANT WE JUST ADOPT A LOT OF NUGS AND BABY DRAGONS AND LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER AS A BORING LOVEY-DOVEY COUPLE WHO KICK ASS AND SAVE PEOPLE SOMETIMES '' yet again convincing me that I need Bull more than he needs me...

So yeah, I'm definitely looking forward to whatever DA4 has to offer, but I'm hoping for that gay KISA who will devout his life to me, who will write me poetry, shower me with love, asks me to marry him and at no point, feels shame for his devotion and love for him, and never wants to leave me (well, other than the times that's is crucially necessary) and just wants to live happily ever after with me by his side.

Maybe that's too corny, cliche storybook romance for the DA universe, but I felt like Cullen was mostly just that! Too bad there was no gay option for him :c

I think the most important thing with romance arcs is that they have to fit the overall character arcs. It made no sense for a happy ending with Dorian, as he has so much to do and so much to change, somewhere else. I know its videogames and people want the happy ending, but to me its better when not all the romances turn out like that, as it feels more realistic and refreshing. Maybe i am just addicted to emotional pain, i don't know.

Cullen did get his happy ending (insert laughter), but it made sense. It was his third appearance in the series, he had gone through hell and finally it turned out well for him. Well atleast if you get him off the lyrium, if not, well just don't do that.

Have you seen the ending if you send Blackwall back to the Wardens? That one is heartbreaking.

I agree that the romance arc needs to fit the character. I also agree that not every romance should be sugary and happy happy joy joy.

But when it comes to gay romance, you get two endings that neither are '' good endings '' in the larger sense, or very sweet, sappy, romantic endings either way (you could argue that both of them are very happy ends, but they are not happy FOR ME, personally).

So you kinda just hafta accept that yeah, this romance won't be romantic for a long and life will rip us apart in the end. I don't really like my romances to go that way..

So I'm hoping that for the next game, we will have a gay KISA that can fulfill this '' happy storybook romance with a storybook ending '' scenario, so that when I'm done with the game and am ready to leave it be and part from it, I can still see the character I created having the time of his life with his prince charming!

I don't do good with heartbreak, so I haven't ;;

I dunno, I feel like I got happy storybook romance endings with Zevran, Fenris, and Sera... though none of them are KISA types. :P

What's everyone's ideal post-game relationship like? Do you go on adventuring, retire to a nice little summer home, become a Power Couple in politics or the court?

Nick disliked a lot of the sarcastic options as well, which is a shame, because they are the best part of fo4 for me (I named my protag Hawke and make him say sarcastic options at inappropriate moments, just like I did in DA2). "Igor, fetch me the brain" "let's plug you into a toaster" and "here's your headline: local man says no." made me laugh so hard, especially since the voice actor for the protagonist has done such an excellent job. I generally avoid aggressive responses, but when you can call Nick "The great clockwork dick" there's no way I'm not selecting it.

It was especially painful, because it was a non conversation and I had to sit through Tom calling the terminal baby and couldn't skip it...

When i come to think of it, most of my Bioware romances has ended badly.

Baldurs Gate II - Happy with Aerie

Neverwinter Nights - Aribeth - Awesome story, sort of happy, but not at the same time.

Kotor - PC leaves all his/hers romance options, damn you canon.

Mass Effect trilogy - Garrus - not happy as everyone dies.

Dragon Age Origins - Alistair, persumeably happy?

Dragon Age II - Sebastian - maybe?

Dragon Age Inquisition - Married to Cullen (YES!)

Star Wars the old Republic - Kira Carson (maybe)

Didn't list Jade Empire because i don't remember. Been a few years since i played it.

That one fits my Warden and Alistair very well. But i like the Inquisitor ending i got aswell, just disbanding it and retire with Cullen, she deserved it. So it depends on the player character really, and how i am roleplaying him/her.

Wait how is Bull not a good ending? I was happy with my Bull ending honestly.

Well I mean, it's really up to the player to decide if the ending is good or not. I was personally left feeling a bit empty with Bull's ending, 'cause it did imply that the inquisitor and Bull might be torn apart by life but their necklaces will always remind them that they'll always be together. I mean, that's all nice, but how I personally read the whole ending was that Bull does what he wants, and if his path is to be away from the Inquisitor, then so be it, he'll leave and come back someday, maybe, who knows when, but hey, at least we have these cool necklaces to remind us of each other!

While it might be a good, sweet ending for majority, I want a bit more. But I totally understand that for what kind of a series Dragon Age is, it might be hard to write extremely sweet, romantic, sugary, happy endings! But, I can always hope, right? Especially since Cullen was basically what I wanted out of a romance, now just to make it available in gay romance!

In DA2 you kinda get a sappy gay romance ending like that. Anders, if romanced, says a lot about Hawke being the most important person in his life, about how much their relationship and love has meant to him, and you can choose to be fugitives together forever. So not the typical happy ending, but a "they lived happily ever after in a dirty shack somewhere," which I think is a pretty positive ending.

That's so goddamn cute! This is what I want! Hell, I'd go on a murderous rampage and cause havoc all over Dragon Age universe with my partner if that meant we'd live happily ever after, side by side, together forever.

I'm still such a newbie to the DA series (DAI being the only game I've played, too) so I'll hafta at least check the romance out in youtube if anything.

I didn't get that from it at all. I got a we both have our things to do but we'll always be together from it vibe. But I also picked disbanding and chasing Solas rum down so a sweet ending felt totally out of place there (like my Cullenmancer with the settling down. All I could think was "But Solas?" and I eventually just went with it being years afterwards.

XD fair enough.
