That's awesome. I know that people were pissed about the voiced protagonist, but honestly, I wouldn't play the game for even half the time I did without it
Yeah the issue wasn't the voice. It was Bethesda derping with the 4 choices with 1 of them being information and 2 variations of yes. They could've fixed that and kept the voice.
I dunno, I feel like I got happy storybook romance endings with Zevran, Fenris, and Sera... though none of them are KISA types.
What's everyone's ideal post-game relationship like? Do you go on adventuring, retire to a nice little summer home, become a Power Couple in politics or the court?
I'm fond of the becoming an influential power couple dynamic. I can appreciate the drama of a tragic romance, but I never wish for them.

The bigger issue I think was labeling "yes" "no" "sarcastic" "question" - it doesn't say much, and some of the descriptive ones reveal nothing about the tone. I installed the full text mod right at the beginning. BW has 6 options (with up to 5 questions) and those tone icons, I think that worked well. Also, it was 3 yes, the third one was "no but maybe later yes". Also you never know if an option moves the conversation forward or gives additional info and returns back to the same options...

I actually don't mind gamebryo (but that's because I fear any new engine they'd have would lose it's modability) but there's bugs that modders have fixed that they still have so it's just...dumb.

Ugh, now I'm wondering what it would be like if a gay/bi KISA romance did end up being tragic in some way. Like the KISA dying/sacrificing him/herself....

Since I tie myself over with fanfic I do not want anymore tragic relationships. There are only so many tears my body can shed. I want my PC + LI to be happy for once, without any of the world ending drama. And ideally without people trying to hunt down my LI any chance they get.

I'm considering how I'm going to work things in my 'canon' world state, where even if TECHNICALLY I can't register a romance with Alistair and Cullen with my male Wardens, I'm considering it canon anyway because **** it (even working a bit on some fanfic of this version of events). I'd originally made Anora the solo queen in that world, but now I'm reconsidering things, because I don't really want to choose between Hawke and Alistair in the Fade. I totally see the possibility of legally binding Alistair and Anora for the throne but letting them having separate lovers as an option. Given that Thedas is a world where the prophet of the most dominant religion was married to both a mortal and a god, I see nothing wrong with the King (and Queen, for that matter) having both a marriage of politics and a relationship of love.

Huh it is hard to tell what would be better. I've has so so many problems with 4 that were related to gamebryo bugs or bethesda still not knowing how to handle gamebryo. A new engine would fix stuff like vibrating corpses, mute dialogues, 10 npcs speaking at the same time. But yeah, probably no modding, which means stuff like the dialogue system couldn't be fixed. I've had so much stuff break, I'm kinda leaning towards "kill it already"

So like I was suggested, I watched the m!Hawke x Anders romance on youtube, and it was amazing! Certainly there was a quite a bit of '' I am not worthy of you '' but that was fine, it fit the romance and what Anders was going through so I'll allow it. Otherwise the romance was full of warmth, love and passion and is definitely my favorite malexmale romance in DA atm. Also I'm totally into the whole '' let's be gay ol' fugitives together!! '' thing, sign me the **** up!
I also felt adventuresome and looked through Sera's, Josefine's and Cassandra's romances. And I gotta say I'm so salty, bitter and jealous. But seeing those romances also gave me lots of hope for the next installments and it's possible gay romances.

Anders was written as sorta kinda bipolar, there's some sadness and self loathing there, but codex entries make it better: "he remains a tender and devoted lover; he has repeatedly declared that Hawke is the only reason he's retained any sanity at all"

I really liked it, but I wasn't ready to let the characters go yet (Hawke, Anders, Isabela, Aveline). What you feel for DA2, I'm definitely going to feel for DA:I when DA: Solas fucks everything up is released. While the story was meh (though I thought Trespasser was more or less amazing), I was never really in it for anything else except the characters which I came to love, and a combat that suited my taste: simple buttonmashing. It'll sad to see my companions (namely Iron Bull, Sera and Dorian) go.. But honestly, I am secretly hoping for at least Sera to remain a companion if only to remain as this rebellious elf who doesn't enjoy elfy ****. I just want to behead Solas and use his head as a football and play some Solasball with Sera! It'd be great! I also want IB x Dorian to be real in the next game, but I somehow doubt that'll happen.
That last picture though. Damn, if I was an animu character, this is probably where I'd nosebleed.

I'm so conflicted about Anders, I loved him so much in Awakening but the whole Justice situation and all his anger ... I just couldn't get myself to romance him in DA2. I know I'm missing out on a great romance right there but I just can't get over the decisions BW made with him. He's crazy attractive though and 100% my type *silent sigh* I still read fics about em and enjoy the art xD

Same. He is perhaps the worst 'why did they DO that' moment with any character from the series for me. I loved him so so much in Awakenings. I was excited to romance him in DA2 and picked him first, not knowing what would happen later. It was awesome...until it very quickly wasn't. I actually abandoned the playthrough at the start of Act 3 because I just couldn't deal with what a clingy, whinging martyr he'd become. 
I'll try it again someday, I guess.

I haven't played Trespasser yet (dlcs are so expensive here...), but that doesn't erase the main game's "you are the only one who can save the universe" story that RPGs overuse. DA2 said "hey, you're cool, you achieve a lot, but you cannot fix everything, and other NPCs can also shape the world." I know they fixed it in Trespasser, but again, I've yet to play it.
I on the other hand had enough of elves, who don't care about the rest of the elves (Zevran, Fenris, Sera vs. Merrill; Solas does talk a lot of smack about modern elves, so he kind of belongs to the first group even though he talks about "ancient elves this and long time ago that"). Also the companions in Inquisition were more allies, in DA2 they felt like a family, I'd like more of that. But yes, I want to punch that stupid egg.
I think they said they will keep the reusing of past characters to only cameos, and each one has a new protagonist. Dorian will definitely get a cameo, maybe even with Bull/Inquisitor. They usually reuse one character for the new team (Oghren in DAO and Awakening, Anders in Awakening and 2, Varric in 2 and Inquisition), so Dorian has a chance to be a companion again, but probably not.
They are fantastic and here's more (I promise this is the last of it)

Kid says the darnest thing. lol, yeah, it's ironic for serious Danse to have that name.
I wasn't the biggest fan of Anders, but we only have one option and I just don't like Fenris. He's a bit too skinny for my taste, and his personality can be very grating, I don't find Anders attractive per se, I'm more into dark haired type and short hair, not too crazy on the long hair, I've never find long hair on a man attractive, i guess.
