Traynor was a bit of the lady scholar, and I adored it.

Personally my favorite female characters are ambitious and scheming, and I'd love to have a female power couple who see each other as equals and delight in their scheming together. I haven't seen all of the show, just the first few episodes, but I'm thinking something like the main couple from House of Cards, only ladies. Oh Viv, what we could have been. :3

To me, Traynor was knowledgeable in her field but not someone who was devoted to understanding/knowledge itself like say Mordin or Dagna. 

 

But yes, Vivienne and Josephine is my ship for that very reason. But LGBT battle couple would be great! Can you imagine a Trans lady and her wife fighting together as like wandering heroes and people you can make allies with?

 

Or a King and his prince-consort, one being the force of will and the presence of a great king with compassion, and the other crafty and clever who makes plans and avoids courtiers schemes.

 

I just think dark fantasy is the place where many LGBT people can make a presence and be given full characterization.

They could easily patch it, but I don't think they are going to.  Patrick sounded like his mind was made up, and I'm betting the rest of the team feels the same way.

 

Happy accident or not, I'll gleefully take it.  I even tweeted a thank you to Patrick for that.

I'm pretty sure that my nephews are waiting for me to wander off into the woods and die before I become a burden on the family......

 

At least I lived long enough to see a same sex parenting couple, nobles to boot, in the DA Lore.  Now if only one of them could be a KISA and we'll really be talking!

@Su  I doubt we'll see a really flaming character, and while I appreciate the idea, I'd personally rather not see it to a hardcore degree.  I've seen more "Big Gay Al" type of gay men as opposed to Steve Cortez, or a gay version of Alistair (which is what the thread is more or less requesting.)  

 

The DA team is gunshy about even including a lesbian/bisexual lady character that could be seen as butch, due to it being a stereotype.  Just to make it clear: I said they were gunshy, not that they were opposed to or actively against the idea.

I want a lesbian/bisexual KISA, which is why I'm here.  We've had lesbian/bisexual ladies in BW games that I would consider more on the small and cute side (Leliana and Merrill come to mind.)  I would love a lady knight, gallant and brave, that loves her lady fair.  Or, I would love a male knight, who's also gallant and brave, that loves his lord.

id like to see a Lesbian be more like DW Orichi 3s Joan of Ark. more flamboyant persay.

Id like the guy to not be the Prince charming type though i admit it would be fun to see.

...See though, the thread is asking for more of a Prince or Princess Charming type.  In DA, we've had:

 

Zevran: A sexually liberated Lorathio type.

Fenris: Brooding and angsting, with no mention of his actual bisexuality.

Leliana: Devout sister, and probably the closest to the KISA for women so far.

Isabela: A sexually liberated and open bisexual pirate

Anders: Brooding and angsting, with no mention of actual sexuality outside of a male Hawke.  Bonus points for the very controversial role he plays in that game.

Merrill: While sweet, she's not remotely the KISA type.  Also, no mention of her actual bisexuality.

 

For gay men, they get Iron Bull and Dorian.  They aren't dismissing those options (and most seem very joyful about them,) but neither of them are the strong warriors that the posters are requesting for later games.

 

What's really sad is that is very common in media.  I can't think of the last time I saw a gay knight/prince outside of GoT, and even then it wasn't for very long.  I think it's time for a Prince/Princess Charming type.  The thread exists to ask for that, after all.

If they do this, I'll be happy and pissed off. 

 

Happy since those who want same sex marriage shown in the game will have it in the game, among nobles no less. 

Pissed off because NPCs can get same sex married but there is no option for marriage whatsoever for the PC. The lack of same sexs marriage was one of the main defenses for that choice.
