I think I like sword and great sword, something traditional. Staff as in magic would be yet another gay mage character that we have. I would really prefer if it's a warrior to be honest, unless the staff is used to knock out some heads.
Anyway, it would be cool if they're loyalty. Both Alistair and Sebastian are the only straight options in their game and they're both loyalty. I wouldn't mind a noble or prince, combining knight in shining armor with prince charming. I probably would lose sleep over such a character if it happened.
I'm still deciding if I want a KISA to be a bit of a jerk. I don't want him to be too perfect or a doormat like Blackwall. Probably still my obsession with Danse character. I like how much of a jerk he is, not because he's a jerk, but he's a conventional KISA and it fits with what the traditional view of knights. I don't really want a completely friendly guy, but definitely can't be evil. More like a jerk with a heart of gold.
Danse is fantastic. I finally finished his romance, and I must say, the voice actor did a terrific job, the "I've started as nothing..." part was so good. I think he embodies the KISA trope perfectly. Strong in his conviction on the outside, but struggles often. Harsh sometimes, but kind underneath it all. (Just wish they hadn't just dropped the character progression like that)
And yeah, give me swords. They ooze knightliness.

These statements are often very empty to me. He never mentioned it and the only time the gay thing ever brought up where when he was kissed by another guy which he acted either surprised or disgusted, hard to tell. If they're gonna do it like that then throw in a line or two about him having a crush on someone would be nice.
I get what you're saying. It would be nice if there was actual text and not just sub-text. But I found it rather refreshing that they had this in mind for the character.
All AC games have given the male protagonist assassin a female love interest, and Evie has a relationship develop with Henry. With Jacob, there is no love interest in game. Yeah, he has a grandchild eventually, but the details regarding that are not touched upon at all.
He just has this odd dynamic with Roth. I've seen the cutscenes. Roth complements him and Jacob drops his gaze and smiles in a way that I cannot describe as anything other than 'bashful'. I've replayed the kiss many times. I didn't get a disgusted vibe personally. I saw shock, confusion, and conflict.
Maybe I'm easy to please, but I appreciate what Ubisoft did there, especially after listening to the lead writer's interview confirming that Jacob was into Roth.
So, you'd be just as excited by a demisexual companion that you can't romance as you would one that you can?
Because that's all Sandal is saying. He hopes there's a way for the maximum number of KISA hopefuls to be happy with their options.
Thank you Lady Artifice for saying what I was going to say while I was away. You are fabulous.
I'm gonna ingore this thread for awhile, if you don't mind? I don't think I'd really add anything to it... I'm not gay, so.... Awkward for me.
Stay, please. You are welcome here just like anyone else.

As far as the Assassins Creed kiss scene - it looked like disgust to me. But in the scene he wasn't happy with Rothschild actions at all already. I didn't get any sense of interest or even confusion.
But if that's what the writer intended then I blame the animator.

I'm hoping if we do get KISAs they are romancable - I mean we already have had non-romancable KISA party members as they were straight. Having them not romancable by anyone doesn't really further the cause lol.

Yeah, the writer flat out said that the kiss "wasn't entirely one-sided." However, I can see how that scene can be interpreted as disgust on Jacob's end.
He does shove Roth away after all. But that could be because Roth grabs him and forces the kiss. It is a violation of Jacob's personal space, combined with the fact that a bleeding, dying, unhinged individual suddenly and unexpectedly grabs him and kisses him. I'd be shocked and try to pull away as well in that situation. Plus, it could be that the animators didn't want to insinuate too much since players have virtually no control over the AC protagonists in the first place, and I'd imagine that having Jacob passionately kissing another man wouldn't go over well with the bulk of the audience.
At the end of the day, if WOG says he was into Roth, and is capable of having feelings for another man, I'm more than willing to go with it. Lol

We don't have to worry about that with Dragon Age. At least I don't think we do.

I assume you are referring to James and Javik in the Citadel DLC.
I've never played femShep, so I haven't experienced it myself. I have seen clips on youtube, though, and I must say that femShep does come off as rather aggressive with James.
Again, I don't think we have to worry about that in DA.

As bad as ME was, SWTOR was much worse. Well, there's no point in saying "ME team" since it's like a "new" team this time. I hope they play FO4, so they can see how popular Danse is compared to other males. Although I'm not sure if it's because of his look or his character. lol . I actually kinda a fan of MacCready now, if we were to get a rogue romance, I want someone more like MacCready, practical, funny, childish, well, except for the dead spouse thing. I'm tired of dead spouse at this point. It's so overplayed in Bioware's games at this point now.

I'm actually surprised how popular Hancock is, he does NOTHING for me, Ghouls are just not attractive to me and his drug habit doesn't make it better
I think it has less to do with his looks but more to do with his personality. Girls love bad boys. lol
I think the one thing we can all agree on is that Preston Garvey suck a big black one. He's terrible in every way. Between Preston and Hancock, i choose Hancock simply because I don't have to worry about settlement and his holier than thou attitude, still, if you bring him with you, they give Preston a lot of free stuffs like mini nukes and rare ammo, not that it off-set how annoying he is though.
MacCready is pretty funny, in real life, I'd probably want to date someone like him since he'd probably make me laugh a lot. I love bringing him to the USS Constitution since he pretends to be a pirate the whole time, and he has a very warm voice. I wouldn't mind a rogue like him. He has a bit of Dorian in him.

James' one night stand during shore leave was seriously the most cringe worthy thing in a,ny Bioware game I think. It was one roofie away from date rape. Whoever wrote that must have skipped their meds that week, or month, or year, something. I can't believe somebody actually didn't realize how awkward and terrible that looked. smh
