Fenris was the closest to my taste in men, physically. I'd like to see more male love interests who don't use the same bodybuilder physiques.

I am curious everyone...
Which characters attracted your attention most as LGBT? (they do not have to be LGBT, just characters that you loved and wished there were LGBT characters like them) Any media works.

Wait, do you mean like personally if you are an LGBT person? Or people we would like as bases for future LI's?

If we're not talking in a physical fashion, I'd say the character Hedwig from Hedwig and the Angry Inch. He fascinated me instantly, and it was the first time I saw a director really explore the concepts of split souls and sexuality in a modern way. I wanted to learn more as soon as I saw the character on screen.
The first LGBT person that I had a crush on that also fascinated me was Freddy Mercury. I grew up listening to Queen (I have clear memories dancing like a goon to "Stone Cold Crazy" as a little girl,) and cried my 11 year old eyes out when he died. He was dynamic, and attractive. He had a sense of brazen freedom and lack of apology about himself that I will always admire.

Talking just physical attributes, I'd never say no to a KISA LI who looks like Tilda Swinton. Any gender LI. She pulls off all gender expression stunningly. I'm a little smitten.

I adore the more "normal" guy next door types, hence why I adore Alistair and Kaidan. I just like well grounded people? I'm really not attracted to campy type people, so I'd be disappointed if our next gay LI was like that... (again, personal preference.) I don't watch alot of TV so I'm terrible at picking out people as total mirrors for what I want, so I pick and choose traits I like most. xD;
For physical features, I guess I like the general consensus for "pretty boys"
For women, I adore masculine women, so I would have loved to romance Aveline or Cassandra. I learned that the closest thing to what I like is andro-sexual, attracted to masculine features and appearances. I think it's been mentioned but I would really look forward to romancing a Brienne type character (Physically?) I know the devs don't really seem to be into the idea, but I'd love either a bi or lesbian qunari woman to romance in the next game. Someone I can romance as a small elf, haha.
I guess the number one feature I like in a LI is the ability to feel like I'm protected and cared for! Also snuggles. Also, also, I probably totally failed at answering your question, sorry. :'(
Unrelated, but I would actually really love to see a black male LI. I don't think we have had one yet in DA, I think Fenris is the closest we have had in terms of dark skin.

i'm all for androgynous. someone you look at and won't necessarily know if they're male or female (though in my perfect world they would be neither..

For the lady KISA, i think someone like Athena from Borderlands and Borderlands the pre-sequel:
*warning: BIG picture*
Though she is mostly just plain clueless when it comes to social life in general, let alone romances, she warms up significantly(well, according to her standards) to the advances of a lesbian character as the game goes on. Though there is nothing explicitly stated about the relationship in the game at any point (not that kind of a game), i think she fits the gay/bi KISA to a t right down to being actually honorable in a universe that is most decidedly NOT.

As a bisexual woman, having a black LI not refer to me as "The priiiizeee" would be very welcome.

I keep hearing about this, but having never played ME, I've (thankfully?) not experienced this incident, lol.
I want to believe our future beloved gay/bi male KISA would never use such crude language to talk about us. ![]()

Yeah. He ends up cheating on her between ME2 and ME3, and gets another woman pregnant. Classy move by BioWare, considering he was the first black male LI. ![]()
You can slap him for it in Citadel. Which was released around a year after ME3...

Jacob as a whole was just...oh God. I would have listed him in my characters upthread, but first his loyalty quest (absent father who ends up using women as sex slaves), and then his own personal story, just...as another black male. it hurt. A lot.

Oh damn. I'd say I could imagine, but frankly I can't. Not with so many depictions of black men with such a depressing theme to their stories in fiction. As a white woman, it's something that I'm grateful I haven't had to go through.
I can't imagine this, because I never lived it. I won't pretend otherwise, but I have empathy. So here's a <hug>.

haha, thank you. It's interesting because Fiance (as he shall be henceforth known) is white. So we have had many conversations about the racial dynamic of our relationship, especially because we...uh "invert" certain racial stereotypes about gay men and um...lamposts
