I think it's way to early to say that about Dorian.  We just don't know enough about him.  I'd say, from the little that we know, he seems like a good-intentioned guy, but might fall into the dashing, sarcastic Robin Hood type more than the KISA type.

Plus he is apparently snooty. I think "KISA" types tend to have an amount of humbleness or lack of pride to them.

Agreed that it's really too early to tell. Dorian definitely don't fit the traditional trope (being a mage instead of a knight/warrior), but as for the rest, we just don't know enough to be sure yet. I do agree that I get more of a dashing Robin Hood than a noble/regal feel from him, but I'm totally able to admit that until we get the game, we don't have enough to judge yet.

During the PAX AUS panel two of the devs called Dorian terribly snooty.

I'm sure it does help other people. :) Personally, I can only bring myself to play a female character very very rarely, so the female LIs aren't for me (though I absolutely support their presence for people who want to play f/f).

Kaiden is from ME, and as much as I like sci-fi, I prefer fantasy (and also don't really want to play through two whole games before I even get to play out Kaiden's romance). I think most of the people here want to see a literal knight in shining armor (that is, as a specifically fantasy genre trope) rather than just a figurative KISA, if that makes sense.

I don't necessarily think that's true. For me, at least, it's much more about personality, outlook, and place in society and less about what they're wearing and fighting with. I'm just tired of queer equaling morally ambiguous and reject/removed from their peers.

Doesn't mean a KISA can't deflect with humor. I would even welcome a KISA that uses humor sometimes.

Edit: Dave, this "KISA" thing is annoyingly catchy.

In fact, Alistair, who is most definetly a KISA, deflects everything with humour. Including his obviously M/M flirting that he is just in denial about in-game. :P

Male Warden/Alistair was just stuffed with homoerotic tension, although not quite to the degree of Male Shepard/Kaidan in ME1, and it totally made not being able to romance him so much worse, haha.

Nothing than top the unbridled sexual tension between Shepard and Kaiden. Those scenes in ME1 when Shepard walks up to Kaiden, Kaiden wipes the sweat off his brow, and then they just stare each other down before talking looks like the intro to a porno.

I know. It's awful. And by awful, I mean wonderful. I played ME3 before I played ME1, and the first time I saw that go down when Shep walked up to Kaidan, all I could think of is what amazing foreshadowing it was. And people try to say his sexuality was retconned. :P

I know some people favour an interpretation that Kaiden wasn't necessarily bi in ME1 and just fell in hard in love with Shepard, but there's no way I can look at those ridiculous scenes and think something other than "Kaiden is going to make a mess in those stupid Normandy sleeping pods again, isn't he?"

Same. Personally, I find that explanation a bit silly. For me, Occam's Razor points to Kaidan always being bisexual and for whatever reason not feeling comfortable expressing his feelings as quickly to a male Shepard compared to a female Shepard.

I wish they had unique scenes together instead of copy and paste with less content from femShep.

I wouldn't be surprised if we get fade to black with Iron Bull M/M and Dorian M/M

ME and DA teams are 2 different teams even though they're both from Bioware. If ME team had wrote DA series then I wouldn't be surprise if the Qunari is an all-bisexual female race with 7 options for straight males and 1 for females. I find it funny that there is a romance scene for Samantha and it's a shower erotic sequence while Cortez is simply fade to black. Kaidan's scene is basically just copy and paste from femShep with the position switch. That is why I prefer the DA team since they try to be fair to everyone and don't cater specifically to one audience only. I'm sure we will at least see some of dat ass from either Iron Bull or Dorian. :P

I don't see why we would have fade to black. DA:O didn't for Zev. Although it did bizarrely pick who topped based on your race choice which I was really not much of a fan of as an approach.

Wait, what? Haha, I had no idea either. I just assumed it was the same for everyone. Which races ended up where?

I slept too long and came back to this.  You guys are just too much.

@Revil If memory serves, dwarves are bottoms for Zev.  That would make sense, due to height.

Wait what? He wasn't a m/m LI in ME1?  O_o  Never went that route (he's not really my type) but took it as a given from the body language between him and mShep

No, he wasn't available in ME1 for men.  There is some lines buried in the game's data for a m/m Shep from him, as well as lines from Ash towards a femShep, but that's it.

You know, the body language was identical to femShep in ME1.  Same nervous look, same brow wipe, all of that.  I think he's just hot for Shepard, no matter what.

With a Sheploo, he's always probably been attracted to him, just Kaiden needed some time to wrap his head own his own feelings.  Since I know bisexual/pansexual folks can come out at any age at anytime, it would fit for me that he finally got his head around his sexuality just in time for the possible End of the Galaxy.

Exactly. They should have their own dialogue.  When my brother initially told me how much he did not like Kaidan/mShep I was surprised.  Then I tried it with one of my male shepards and I understood what why he felt that way and he recommended I try Cortez with another mShep and I enjoyed it as much as he did.   Despite being lighter on the content, that romance felt far more real than it did with Kaidan.   And the banter between missions was sexy and sweet.

Kaidan and mShep should have had better banter and they should not have recycled the femshep content.    My brother was crazy, nuts, and weird for preferring Cortez back when the game came out.    I think alot of straight fangirls had this assumption that because he's gay he was supposed to put Kaidan/mShep on a pedestal or something.

Its funny because I never romanced Kaiden in any of my femshep plays for ME3 I didn't actually know there was a lot stuff used in both :)
