I know she doesn't have a sex scene or even refer to sex, and I haven't seen the whole thing yet, but from what I have seen I got the impression that she just never realized the Inquisitor was into her and once she did, she wanted to reciprocate, rather than it being a matter of Josephine passing over a certain threshold of emotional attachment and then wanting to pursue it.

They're obviously pandering to the sjw and yaoi crowd if they add more gay characters (going overboard where almost everyone is gay) and would lose fans which equals money and EA would not be pleased if they started losing money because a vocal minority demanded things, not to mention what they did to Anders, which is what made me leery about preordering this. There's a fine line between realism and pandering and bioware failed horribly with Anders but nailed it here.

So long as there is romance in future games, (and even if there isn't) there are going to be gay characters. You would do well to learn to deal with it. Due to that fact, I made this thread to give a suggestion of the type of gay character(s) I would like to see. No one is demanding anything.

Based purely on what we witness in the game, Merrill actually fits demisexual even better than Josephine (other than a random ambiguous banter line Merrill expresses zero sexual interest in anyone but Hawke and that was after years of knowing him/her), but the word "bisexual" was used specifically to describe Merrill, so Kallen takes that word-of-God-ing to heart. But I'm happy they've avoid that this time for people like Kallen.
look im as tolerant as the next guy but damm, and i thought mass effect was to much.. probably the reason cortez never made it alive on any my playthoughs ahaha

It seems rather clear to me that there will always be a male gay love interest in BioWare games that have romances from here on out. Since there will be a gay man to romance in future installments of the series, folks are asking for an archetype.
Unlike some of the other threads out there, we aren't demanding a DLC or a patch (like you can patch a full fledged character,) just for a gay knight to romance. We are asking for one for future installments of the game. Thanks for helping keep the thread on page one though. It keeps visibility up, so posters that wish for this archetype have an easier time finding this thread.

Nope. Haven't seen any, but the game is so massive that they have to be in there and I've just missed them. I'm about 60 hours in and still have a ton to do. Eyes are peeled, though.

I got my hopes up while in Crestwood. There was a couple who was writing their names on various landmarks and stuff, and both names sounded male, but they turned out to be a guy and girl who were canoodling near the switch that controls the dam.

Oh, I remember them. Dorian gave me disapproval because I was critical of their choice of setting. He's such a romantic. 
Aww now I regret not making my male inquisitor a warrior in shiny armor who always chooses the nicest, most appropriate options in dialogue. Too bad.

Yeah, I feel a lot better that the writer of a character agrees that the character being demisexual is a perfectly valid view, rather than it solely being headcanon. I know the only difference is the writer's consent, but that does a lot. Like how saying The Iron Bull is pansexual rather than just fitting the criteria for a pansexual did a lot for the pansexual players.

I was actually kinda surprised with Bull's relationship to be honest. and I love the fact that they flat out tell you that the inquisitor is the one being...um...investigated in bed.
I haven't romanced Dorian yet, and I will admit, I wasn't really planning on it, because he *seemed* to be a stereotype that I don't like. But then again, prejudging huh?
Question though, does everyone get a dance at the Winter Palace? Because when I went with my romanced Bull, the scene cut to black with them walking back in from the balcony.

Dorian dances with the Inquisitor. IDK about everyone else. Dorian has somewhat of a flamboyant flare to him, but I do not consider him to be a giant stereotype. I was kind of expecting him to be a little b*tch-y, but he is actually one of the nicest companions and at least tries to find common ground with everyone.

Dorian is a total sweetheart, and is far from a giant gay stereotype. Shoot, I've known straight guys that were involved with theatre and the like that acted much like Dorian.

I knew I was going to like Dorian. He's definitely my favorite DA companion of all three games, just narrowly beating Vivienne.

My 'canon' inquisitor, a qunari warrior, is a total KISA. Tall, handsome, charming, polite, and a total do-gooder (with a charming British accent, I might add). I'll get my damned gay KISA one way or another, so if it means I have to play him myself, I'll do it.
And he romanced Dorian and it was totally amazing and worth every second. The benefit of upgrading to XBONE after doing my first run on 360 is that now I get to recreate him and do the run again in HD glory!

Ha! Vivienne is my favorite DA companion in all three games and Dorian is top three, without question (with Sigrun, Aveline, and Wynne rounding out my top five). And, I agree that Dorian is far from a stereotype, but also no where near being the KISA that we are asking for.
I didn't much care for Dorian or Iron Bull. To me they seemed the same old non-straight stereotype and fit the 'All Gays/Bisexuals Are Promiscuous' trope. I would have preffered to romance Cullen with a male inquisitor.

In Exalted Plains you can find a dying woman trapped in one of the encampments overrun with undead who asks you to take her ring to her commander at Celene's base, her commander is also a woman and the way she receives the ring and her grief suggests there was a personal relationship between the two... I'm still miffed that I couldn't give the woman one of my magical healing potions and save her (or as a mage have healing magic and do the same thing), there are several soldiers in that zone I could have saved if allowed to Damn it.
Oh and do Celene and Briala count? Also you can hear from Wade and Herran through the war table after you kill a dragon.
