I counted during the first scene.  There is four chances for the player to back out.  He gets into the power dynamic; it's strictly in the bedroom.

I sum up the relationship with the Bull with the following screenshots:

Not shown: My Inquisitor playfully smacking him on the arm and calling him an ass right after that last screenshot.  It happens, I just didn't get a screenshot of it in time.

I'm out of likes but yeah this.

You get plenty of chances to go "no thanks."

I actually called my husband in to watch the "kiss him" cinematic, where he smacks the Inquisitor on the ass and he turns around and gives him a playful shove, shakes his head, and then grabs his (Bull's) face to kiss him.  Then turns around and rubs his ass as Bull walks away with a smile.  My husband doesn't like video games, but he totally found that scene cute.  Bull's not for everyone, but if you can accept the relationship for what it is, it's endearing and enjoyable.

My husband thought the same thing when I showed him.  He chuckled and told me that he was glad I enjoyed the game.  He's not into DA, but he's been very patient with me.  He knows the lore almost as well as I do.

My husband's personality is a lot like Bull's in a lot of ways (the ability to be serious on a dime, the messed up sense of humor, friends in the LGBT community,) so that's probably why I enjoyed the romance so much.  He might as well have been a Qunari version of my hubby's very long running D&D character (seriously long; Chopper Longbeard the barbarian is almost 20 years old.)

I watched the video of it on YT and thought there were some super cute moments in it, which is another reason I wish it worked for me.

...I suppose at some point I'll have to play it, won't I?

It's not as hardcore as you might fear, I promise.  I was plesantly surprised at how sweet and frankly, cute a lot of the arc is.

It's also worth it if nothing else to watch Cullen do this:

I think it's worth it.  Graeme and Bull are super cute together.  I recommend Bull and Cadash.  There's something about the size difference that makes it better for me.

This is the reason I wanted a body choice in the game. I want an elf to human size qunari (as that would be closer to my RL height).

Favorite part for me was Josie being physically dragged away.  She could not stop staring.  Hearing Cass shriek like that was pretty awesome though.  It was really funny to me considering she was the tank for my Dragon Slaying Crew.

Could you explain this a bit more? I'm not really in the BDSM lifestyle so I'm curious.

Basically, in BDSM there is a whole bunch of stuff. S and M is where there is a sexual/sensual power dynamic. The Dom is in charge and the sub is very submissive. But more than that is S and M where hitting, candle wax, whips, and even chains can get involved Bondage means this all happens while the sub is tied up.

Safe words are so you have a key word to make them stop. Because yelling stop can sometimes be part of the fun so you need something to get the idea across. Oftentimes the idea of not needing it is praised in the community as well as pushing boundries. It is a bit of a problem in the community that people should and do get very annoyed if you use your safeword at all often, and while Bull is the ideal of any BDSM relationship, in real life this gets messy. People threaten to leave if you say you are uncomfortable in a certain area and always use your safe word about it, or it is considered too "vanilla".

The idea is to push your boundries and explore emotional and new physical sensations but there is often a problem about pushing limits past peoples comfort zones and not respecting them.

Well, Daveliam seems to be taking his frustration out on me because I disagreed with him about what characters are KISAs or not. Apparently not agreeing that some straight characters are KISAs means that I am against there being gay KISAs.

Look, here's the deal.  I've been frustrated with some of your posts for a while.  Perhaps, I lashed out a bit at you because of that frustration and I'm sorry for that.

However, maybe it's just the lack of tact that was what annoyed me.  When people (numerous) are obviously a little annoyed and upset about something, it's probably not the most tactful to come in and try to nitpick points.  Especially when those same people go out of their way to not nitpick your points when you are upset.

That's where I'll leave it.  If you accept my apology and at least consider my reasoning, I'm happy to move on.  I try to maintain a fairly even-keeled temperment most of the time, but I can lose it at times too.

It might also have something to do with "It's funny coming from the person whining "Woe is me. I didn't get the exact kind of gay man I wanted." "
As well as posting spoilers. Perhaps being more understanding that people are dissapointed with the Cullen situation instead of being dismissive and rude, that might help.

What I liked about Josie's role in it is that, initially, she looked and sounded like the innocent sort who's completely shell-shocked. The more the scene goes on, though, the easier it is for the player to see that it's not completely true.  =]

It's not and the conversation wasn't even in this thread. It's just Kallen being Kallen.

I should make it clear I am not into BDSM but have several friends that are and talk about it so I am not an expert. A common complaint was that there is a general disrespect for people's safewords, and not respecting NO when it really is put on the line. One of those friends got in severe problems because of it. Iron Bull has been portrayed as the near perfect Dom as the Dom is supposed to serve the Sub and in proper BDSM the sub is really in control. It is the "And you didn't use your safeword once" bit that made me squeamish because every person I know who is a Sub I have heard. "It makes me uncomfortable, but I don't want to use my safeword..." as if it is a good thing not to, and a bad thing to do it.

But that is more a community thing than a problem with Iron Bull

I asked what characters you were saying were KISAs, you listed them, and I disagreed with some. That isn't nitpicking, that's disagreeing. But you taking that where you did was not called for, especially since I have never been anything but supportive of there being a gay/bi KISA character.

But I accept your apology. I like posting with you, so would rather this not affect that.

I only busted that out after he made me seem falsely petty when that's not even the reason I did what I did. However, I apologize for it.

At that point Josephine was essentially making excuses for her own thoughts!

Well you do get dialogue to reflect that. One is you telling bull he has to try harder (which I picked) and the other is "I thought about it". I don't know what the actual line is though. There's also again, Cole telling the party that the Inquisitor has thought about it, but ultimately hasn't "for you and for him". Though, I'm not entirely sure if the second part helps or hurts the case.

Cullen starts cracking up when Cassandra lets out one of the girliest shrikes I've ever in the DA games.  Last time I heard a shriek like that, it was when I took Isabela along for Varric's quest Haunted.   :D
