For a guy, he doesn't have to be drop-dead gorgeous. Cute would be good enough. Big, brawny, and bearded would all be pluses, but all three wouldn't be necessary.

Okay Dorian's better looking but I'll concede people have different tastes. I would agree that in previous games Cullen and Alistair were hot, i just don't know wtf happened to them in this game. Seriously, they got Madonna's plastic surgeon or something.
Exhibit A, Dragon Age Inquisition Cullen. Not the puffy cheeks, turned up nose and hair that looks like he put glue in it and let it sit under a hot dryer.

I don't know if anyone here reads Sister Claire and admittedly its been a long time since I've read it myself so I'm not fully caught up on it but I would very much consider Sister Oscar a KISA type though I also have no idea what her orientation is but she seems to fit the type for me at least. I just happened to be reminded of her because of the blond talk 
I don't like blondes and other than Alastair I don't like a goody two shoes unless, like Dorian, they are also fun and hide the fact that they're goody two shoes.

I'm the wife of someone that has very patchy facial hair. He prefers to keep it shaved, and does lament that he's seen 13 year olds that can grow a better beard. He does it to save himself the indignity. He's got shoulder length hair, so it balances out.
One of his cousins is 27 and can rock a full beard. He's also completely bald. We're both happy that he's got the hair on his head.
