I have just begun playing the Leliana's Song DLC and am currently trying the Stealing from the Market quest. It seems like stealth should be possible in this instance; I've been holding the other party members far away and using stealth to get Leliana close to the chests. But once I actually open a chest, the other two immediately re-appear beside me and the guards attack a few seconds later. It also seems like the guards can see through stealth as well, if I happen to get Leliana in their path.

 

Is it possible to do this quest without alerting the guards or do I just have to kill them all?

I'd just like to know if it's possible. There's one chest in particular that's right in front of a guard who never moves. I don't see how I'm supposed to get to that without a fight.
