I've started a second playthrough of DA:O with a Male Human Noble Warden and my intentions are to get him on the throne of Ferelden by marrying Anora.

Is there any way to do this without alienating Alistair or getting him executed?

Yes; the important thing is to make sure you don't harden Alistair. An unhardened Alistair will be glad to avoid the crown, but a hardened Alistair will seize the throne as soon as Loghain dies. So if Alistair is hardened, your only option is to spare Loghain and exile/execute Alistair.

The only other requirement is that you don't personally execute Loghain. Anora won't marry her father's executioner, so Alistair has to be the one to do it.

That said, you should also be fine if unhardened Alistair duels Loghain.

Yeah, I liked seeing the difference in Hardened vs Soft Alistair when I made him King.
