This game looks incredible, they've responded to fans criticism of DA2, and they've put an incredible amount of time into this game. Theres no need to already write this game off because of tiny things like no auto-attack or no night envirnoment in Skyhold.
We need to appreciate what hard work their doing. I personally want to say thanks for all the great games over the years Bioware!
Feel free to share your favorite part of Biowares games.
Mines always been there ability allow you to shape your characters values. Weather we are Male, female, Gay, Straight, Christian, or whatever theres options for everyone!

Dragons74,
I agree with you. BioWare's Dragon Age team has worked very hard on this game and needs the opportunity to heal from the verbal abuse that has been unjustly floating around social media pertaining to the "quality" of their game. How can others nit-pick insignificant portions (there are more male characters than women characters, I do not like RPGs, so this isn't for me, etc.) of this game or be cynical towards the efforts of what Bioware has tried to create for the individuals that have been looking forward to this game ever since their play-through of DA2 (also, the books associated with this franchise) and for the individuals that are new to the story/game?
All members associated with the creation of this game have worked hard to tailor it to the request of their audience the best they could in their given timeframe for completion and from what I have seen in the beta(s) they have done an excellent job so far. So, it is not necessarily that companies such as Bioware do not listen to the gaming community. Actually, they listen quite well and do get upset, as anyone would expect to, when they are verbally attacked for trying to create something wonderful for the community to enjoy. Individuals in the gaming community need to remember that these are people creating these games and stories, not some machine that has no feeling when being harshly criticized. Also, companies such as this and Lion Head try to tailor their games to the wants of their audience, but I am sure it is difficult for them when the gaming community refuses to accept what they asked for due to their own prejudices or their incapacity of trying something new.
Focused, analytical feedback that can actually aid in the enhancement of the game is great, but hysterical/spastic tantrums in the form of what the individual perceived as "feedback" built upon the premise of unfocused emotional response mixed with cynicism is not constructive and does not constitute as constructive feedback. It only upsets the individuals that are trying to create something for you to enjoy. They are unable to feed into the petty, entitlement issues that some have. There is just not enough time in the day.
So, I end this message with a thanks and standing ovation to BioWare's team. Hard work has been a resounding theme in this message because I personally appreciate the effort that the Bioware team has put into their creation/art and all of the "little" attentions to details from their past games that they have added into the Keep like Curing the Mabari Hounds or Feeding the Ostagar Prisoner the guard's lunch from DAO. It's the little touches/details that make this game so immersive and such a pleasure to play. Also, I would like to apologize for all of the unpleasant responses that you all have had to endure thus far from cynical/demeaning posts on social media from others tearing down your game without having tried it. Just know that there are individuals out there that appreciate the story that you guys/gals tell.
Thank you very much for allowing me the opportunity to take part in the Keep's beta. I have enjoyed every second of recreating the decisions that I have made in previous play-throughs and watching how those decisions are compiled and unfold in the movie at the end of making the decisions. The artwork is beautiful and again you guys have done a great job pulling everything together. Lastly, I humbly respect and appreciate how you guys/gals remain so open to the community. It speaks volumes about your character as a company and your want to better yourselves as a growing company and the games you create. The one thing that I ask is that you do not give up on the community or feel animosity towards us, just yet. I know individuals can be unkind or unrelenting in their hostile judgment sometimes, but, please, do not give up on or stop reaching out to the community for feedback. Keep up the good work and I look forward to playing your final creation.
Sincerely,
Le-Bonne-Vie

I've never been disappointed with a bioware game. Some people may have not liked DA2/ME3 but i did. DA2 had a lot of issues but i still played the game multiple times. I didn't enjoy ME3's original ending however. It felt too rushed but i did like the extended cut. Felt more complete than the original ending(s)
The amount of time and effort the team have put into DA:I is most certainly appreciated. I can't think of any other game that i have been this excited for apart from the ME games and GTA.
Also, the amount of effort they put into the keep is just amazing. Soo much more than i was expecting.

I own every Bioware game since kotor (plus both Baldur's gate titles), and I want to give you an honest "thank you" for all the hard work you have done so far.
Every Bioware game I played so far was a blast to play (yes, even DA2) and I am really looking forward to DA:I.

I wrote along reply but it was too.. detailed, so no need for that. I just wanted to say Thank You Bioware, your games helped me through one of the most painful times of my life, a safe way to forget and very therapeutic experience really, you start the game weak and unable to achieve your goals, but you grow in strength and knowledge and in the end you will make it, you go through hell but you will make it, because you didn't give up on the game, you kept on playing, surviving
Thank you guys, I can't really convey my appreciation i just wish that you know that your games helped a lot of people through extremely painful times
and thanks OP, it's such a waste to feel this gratitude toward people without letting them know how deeply they helped

I've been reading a lot of these fourms lately since Inquisition is so close to coming out, and I feel like Bioware is getting way too much criticism.

i think there was a thank you bioware thread similiar to this, but it is still nice to see a positive thread every now and then, they aren't as rare as they use to be ![]()

This has probably been said, but anytime Bioware makes a game I know that I'll enjoy it. Even games like DA2/ME3 which received a lot of criticism have been able to get me very immersed into the story. Keep up the good work Bioware! ![]()

For me, I guess it would be the unique lore and interesting storylines. Mass Effect and Dragon Age feature are two of my favorite universes to explore, and Bioware has done a great job of making them really come to life with intricately detailed cultures, worlds, races, technology, magic, historical records, creatures... let me just stop there. lol... All in all, they have done a great job in this department and I'm looking forward to seeing what they have in store next.

Bioware, you're amazing.
But you had best stop making ingenious concepts like DM Clients and Toolsets - Origins - etc. and then throwing them away.
I'd micro-transaction a new NWN-like Toolset into mansions for all of you...
Anyway - much love Bioware.
Note: Don't ever do what you did to me with Anders again please... that hurt my feelings, but I forgive you cause you're awesome.

The companions, definitely.
The ones I love and even the ones I hate, (or the ones I love to hate). The quality of characterization that goes into each one makes them memorable so much that years after the game is turned off and their story is done, people still discuss, argue passionately and relish each nuance of emotion they evoke in us.

Without getting too deep into a place of over-correction, there are a few things I want to say on this topic.
Firstly, I understand that it must be difficult to see that every time you share a bit of the game, there is a half dozen new threads that discuss things that people didn't like. While the expression of concerns can be helpful, I think that the amount of concerns expressed tend to outweigh a lot of the positive feedback; it seems a lot more rare that people take the time to tell you how great of a job you're doing. That said, thanks for showing us what you have -- though it may be of little solace, please know that there is a lot of unvoiced appreciation from the fan-base.
Secondly, having spent time reading the supplemental materials, I wanted to say that I appreciate the Dragon Age writers for painting beautiful backdrops for various stories and characters in the game. I am very excited to see which plot points pop up, and if/when we'll get to meet some of the other characters from the books. Thank you for broadening the universe and giving us a taste of what is to come.
Lastly, thank you for taking the time to interact with your fans. This extends to everyone involved with the game(s), including writers, artists, programmers, testers, producers, voice actors, and anyone else I am leaving out without realizing it. As difficult as it may be to read a lot of the things posted on the forums, I still think that it is awesome that you still take the opportunity to interact with us, and let us see behind the proverbial curtain a little bit.
Looking forward to November 18th.
