Daggers being on the Inquisitors back offer 2 advantages that I can think of.
1 - it allows you to easily see at a glance which daggers a character has equipped, which can be sometimes hard to do in a 3rd Person game with sheathed weapons at the waist.
2 - with the variety of shapes and sizes for daggers, armour and Inquisitors, it is easier to make sure there is no clipping, if they are on the back.

Are you talking about the rumored dolphinquisitor?
It got cut. Too many clipping issues. They said not to rule it out for the future though! ![]()

And these are the confirmed reasons for why there are still weapons on the back. Even the reason swords were pushed to the belt, was because it was hard to see them past the shield. It's about easy viewing while switching characters. Lack of clipping is nice too, as BioWare devs hate their clipping (and who can fault 'em).

So you won't have any daggers on your dorsal unless you grew up near a nuclear power plant.

I wish the daggers were the size of actual daggers and not the size of swords and placed at the waist or on a strap across the chest.
They are if you're a Qunari
They look so dinky in Qunari hands lol.

That's why I loathe weapon limitations. Well, one reason I loathe weapon limitations. It just looks so incredibly silly that this giant has these two puny knives.

Maybe the dev team could make two different dual-wielding poses. One for drawing the daggers from your hips and another from your back. Drawing the daggers from your hips should give you an awesome fighting pose like Ashoka Tano
. I would love to see that in Dragon Age.

Honestly that they're on the back doesn't bother me by itself, it's that they're just stuck there. If there were sheaths for them attached to straps around the torso or something like that I'd dig it.

We ain't no fish. Call it the back.
also its a design choice so you know what weapons your character is using when you switch to them.
Kanye disagrees.
