I'd probably put "ludonarrative dissonance" at the top of the list of buzzwords in gaming that I'd like to see retired at this point.
Anyone Sick Of These Words Getting Used?

I'm sick of people capitalizing each word when it's not a new sentence.

Yeah, that belongs in titles. Some people must have slept through 4th grade Language Arts.

I have phrases and words I'm sick of hearing:
"YOLO!"
(Not if your Jesus, scum, so get your candy ass outta here!)
"Just my two cents."
(Stick them up your ass peasant.)
"Bigot! You hate MLP!"
(Has become an insult even against people who aren't displaying bigotry. At least I don't consider hating MLP bigotry.)
"Uh muh guad! Homophobe!"
(Because someone said "gay" in a YouTube comment lol.)
"Muh IQ is over 9000!"
(Kinda irrelevant if you have the I.Q of Einstein but aren't educated in the subject you're debating. Your IQ is rather irrelevant here mate so don't bring that fallacy up.)

"Just my two cents."
And thus, someone coined the equally sickening, but circumstantially cromulent word, cliché.

I was never a fan of "well written" personally.

"Avoid clichés like the plague" is a phrase that really grinds my gears.

I am generally not much concerned about any particular words being used.
What can rile me up sometimes however is words being used wrong. Makes me want to smack people with a dictionary.

Oh, one thing that is tangibly relevant (it doesn't annoy me as much as I simply derive ridiculous amounts of fun of it and subsequently annoy THEM with it) is people complaining when you end a sentence with a proposition, particularily for the English language. So easy to make fun of!

"I swear I do not know where Mrs. Dryfus is at."
"Did you just end a sentence with a preposition?"
"Forgive me, colonel."

LOL no.
Life of a gamer is getting so tough nowadays, huh? Just be glad that you don't have an office job. Here are some of the buzzwords or office speak that get on my nerve.
- close the loop
- greenhouse something
- escalate something
- pulse something
- circle back
- circle around
- synergy
- deep dive
- outside the box
- maximize
- streamline
- solutions
- dynamics
- pivot
- leverage
- initiative
- proactive
- drive the effort
- bring in the room
- touch base
- ping
- going/moving forward
- reach out
- at the end of the day
- paradigm shift
- interface with someone (I think this one means sex)
SYNERGY. Synergy is my favorite. Also streamline.
Touch base is more of a general term, but for sure it translates well to the business side of things.

I Was Thinking More Of Golems From Discworld. We Have Words In Our Heads. The Priests Wrote Them When They Baked Us. They Are How We Function. But If The Words Are Taken, We Still Have Words In Our Hearts. We Are More Than A Hammer.
