It makes me think they checked the inbox and found barely any entries. Then they realized they'd made a mistake, a tiny gargantuan one. They'll hopefully extend the deadline a little bit longer, maybe a day? But if not, it hopefully increases our chances of winning... not that I'm trying to be a ruthless ass or anything.

Don't be shy, everyone who read that news had a gasp like "oh yeah, my chances got HIGH". Yeah kinda like that i guess

Resent my poster. Thank goodness I checked back on this thread. Wouldn't have known otherwise, thank you for updating. Still don't expect to win.

Wow, that's a major mistake from Bioware. Hopefully, I resent my poster.

Hi all! Just saw that tweet. Hope they extend the deadline. It would suck hairy nugs to come home and find out your entry had never been submitted.

Anyways, I thought I'd share my entry as well:

kayla_michelle_wallace_dragon_age_poster

I wish all who entered luck! I don't think I'll make 1st place, but I'm hoping this is good enough for those 2nd - 5th places.

I was sort of inspired by one of the Dark Knight Rises posters, the one with the burning bat symbol on the building? I always thought that was a pretty cool poster.

Confirmed on the final day of entry? HMMM YEAH NO BIGGIE.

But they did say to resend your entry if it was bounced back... Mine wasn't, but I resubmitted it anyway.

They confirmed on twitter that the mails should be sent to biowarecontests with an s. Mine didn't get bounced back either, but perhaps that only works for some emails?

They did answer a question like this though:

  1. @dragonage So if we havent had it sent back to us, that means that you have it. Right? Pls rply

  2. @Beneys_ That is correct Ben. Good luck, please keep checking http://goo.gl/HzUzX  for all the latest game information.

But best to be sure I say... Bit wierd if it would work to send submission to two different emails?

Dang, glad I checked this topic before heading out; I wouldn't be home until after the deadline. Resent my submission just to be safe. I hope they offer some wiggle room for that for those who might not see this until after the initial deadline.

I resent mine just to be sure as well. Better save than sorry. The fair thing would be to extend the deadline for all those not lucky enough to catch the news in time. Not that i wouldn't be pleased about any bigger chances ;) but yea... fair play and all that. There are so many brilliant posters and everyone deserves their shot at the big prize.

*cough "Gray vs. grey

Gray and grey are different spellings of the same word, and both are used throughout the English-speaking world. But gray is more common in American English, while grey is more common in all the other main varieties of English. In the U.K., for instance, grey appears about twenty times for every instance of gray. In the U.S. the ratio is reversed.

Both spellings, which have origins in the Old English grǽg, have existed hundreds of years. Grey gained ascendancy in all varieties of English in the early 18th century, but its dominance as the preferred form was checked when American writers adopted gray about a century later. this change in American English came around 1825. Since then, both forms have remained fairly common throughout the English-speaking world, but the favoring of gray in the U.S. and grey everywhere else has remained consistent." *cough. or in other words, *cough SEMANTICS *cough

WOW, I don't know if I'm late or not... I just woke up and saw that tweet and I quickly emailed my entry again to the new address, even if I am about... 30 minutes late? Gosh... That pretty much gave me a heart attack! I hope they still accept entries.

Anyway, here's my poster! Spent a good couple of nights on it, minus watermark of course.

... and that is how it begins ...

Sorry Amaror, but it was rather fruitless to play grammer / usage rent-a-cop about grey vs. gray, only to miserably fail at the improper use of a lower case i in the Blackwall quote!  I mean c'mon, if you are gonna kick the douche into overdrive at least be thorough!

Now, in terms of geek-cred, might as well point out at the "Highlander" reference poster is outstanding as well! Nice job OriginofWaves!

Oh, oh, but did you know you "technically" got the imaginary date wrong on the first poster? just saying as a geek myself, it is technically the imaginary year of 9:40 dragon, not 90:40! As you recall each age is a century, and they are only in the 40th year of the 9th century (age!) your calander year would put them into sci-fi epic awesomeness!

I keeed! :wizard:  You're work was well done indeed!

hey unless you can provide irrefutable evidence that 90:40 wont be called the Dragon Age again and that there wont be a Blackwall or a Skyhold then i can't accept your correction  :D

and yes it indeed is a "Highlander" parody so keep a look out for an amazon drone delivering that internet cookie to you  ^_^

Yeah, but it is actually "Grey Warden".
It was one of the things that irritated me about Last Flight, because you'd get sentences like "the Grey Warden had a gray beard".
:P
