It's certainly not clear, is it? I suspect those are just a few submissions, otherwise I'd like to think they'd show all five finalists. It might be that they're going to make us sweat until they open voting on Thursday, and only reveal the top 5 then.

i don't think those are the finalist but just some random entries. Since they said voting starts Thursday, I guess that's when they will announce the actual five finalists.

Are they only uploading five entries? My take away from reading the rules was that the top entries would be posted on social media for voting (so perhaps 100 people entered, they may upload 30 and the voting determines the top 5 that win prizes). That was my impression

They will choose the five finalists to get an inquisitors edition and then we vote on which one of those will get the grand price.

I originally thought that too, but in the Official Rules:
'During the Judging Phase, a panel of qualified judges determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion will select 5 entrants with the highest-scoring Submissions (the “Finalists”)'.

 

I just hope they don't wait until 2pm PST tomorrow like they'd originally planned for Tuesday x_x
