I haven't spotted any rules that prohibit posting your finnished poster online, but I'm still kind of skeptical...

Did the devs (or whoever's in charge of this contest) say anything about that?

I posted my original, then updated it several hours afterward to include a watermark... I hope no one stole it...

 

Anyway, I'm not all that bothered. There are only 5 or 6 prizes and I don't expect mine to get into the voting phase. I treat this more as a learning curve, and an opportunity to get some of my own work into a portfolio which I really need to start building up.

 

And no, it doesn't say in the rules so therefore, they cannot disqualify you for doing it. However, if they believe you have gained input from another person by posting your design, they can disqualify.

So I submitted an entry 2 days ago, not so much as an automated reply saying they received it.  Sent another email yesterday asking for some sort of confirmation and still nothing.  If someone official is meant to be monitoring this thread would you please respond to this issue?

As Lightning said above I posted mine but don't really expect it to get to the voting phase so I just wanted to chuck it up for others to see. I also put up one I didn't submit. It sucks I'm in the middle of my University exams and couldn't spend more time on it but if it gives others ideas from seeing my posters then I'm fine with that.

Wonderful design. It really is a great piece of work. One thing I would personally have done however is taken out Dorian and replaced him with another character in a similar stance as Cassandra and Blackwall. Purely because Cass and Black are in a more relaxed pose whereas Dorian is more like "I'm going to kill you right now".

 

That's just my 2 cents. It is a great piece though. Well done.

Thanks for your reply ! For Dorian, I love the contrast between the different characters of the poster and i wanted a mage. Solas has a posture that didn't suit very well. If you look well, Cassandra is ready to fight on this image and Blackwall is waiting his ennemy wisely.

Honest assessment.....for some reason the flaming sword really works for me....maybe it's the idea of a light in the darkness. Anyways, I like the concept more than what's shown but that's because you are limited by the assets available to you. To make this better I would need to be able to alter the the expressions/stance of the characters within the Dragon but that's not something you can do.

 

Overall good stuff and even if it doesn't win I genuinely hope it inspires others.

The bottom one. The top is to fractured (I understand it's smashed glass) but it becomes to disorienting. The bottom is a much cleaner design. Also, you don't include "Dragon Age Poster Contest" in the actual poster. You include that in the email.

Have all my likes guys, these posters are amazing. Not sure if I'm going to attempt this, I'm more of a noob brand/web designer than anything else. If I'm not sick of Photoshop by the end of the week I might give it a shot, at any rate it seems like more fun than wrapping my head around responsive interfaces.

Lesson learned: It helps to look at your work from different screens to catch any flaws you couldn't see before.

I really like both of these! They're definitely contenders. 

 

Personally, I think the top one will do a little better because it's more dynamic, but the other one is also strong for its simplicity. Either one will do just fine so I say it's a matter of personal preference.
