I read somewhere that the devs did say you could make at least one mage tranquil so if you want to be sadistic there is an opition for you!

The Tranquility thing is probably going to be somewhat serious.

 

I mean, if the Mage didn't really do anything too serious, and you just give the go-ahead, you could perhaps face even an uprising.

On the other hand, if it's Anders, people would probably respond negatively if you didn't.

 

Let's not forget that people of Thedas would probably hate Anders a whole lot, considering he was the one who lit the fuse on the big stash of explosives that Templar/Mage relationship was in Kirkwall.

On topic, if I don't get to reenact this scene on at least one occasion during DAI, I will be most disappoint:

Maybe we can kill many minor characters, that the inquisitor has to judge.

If it was in past games, then it's probably in this game. There's just some things that are just unique to Bioware, like being able to kill some companions at some point in the story. I doubt that is going to change with this game.

 

That being said, it's not like you were ever able to just kill them at ANY point in time, and you were never able to kill them all. If I remember right there was something said about there being the option of getting a playthrough with only one companion left at the end. Some are probably able to be killed by you personally based on your story decisions (like in the past games), by you putting them in a situation they can't survive (first thing that comes to mind is ME2), or by never recruiting them (like with Nathaniel).

 

As far as 'executions' go... That makes me think of something a lot more flashy. Do you mean like a literal condemning them to death situation? Chop of the head?
