Like this? :)

I suppose so. Although my item allows selection of the aura, not cycling through them. I used the same method I used when developing my Rod of Lordly Might and enhancing the MotB Dream Weapon.

I would agree that 'custom content' would be anything that isn't supported by the original game, which would include things like scripts, scripted items, and visual effects.

I agree with that.

I'm not an NWN2 modder but I followed this thread, and wanted to provide my own experience contributing to the NWN ccc....
He wanted to make the Sword of Kas polymorphic, meaning that it could become different kinds of swords (long, short, scimitar, 2 handed etc…) based on the predilections of the user. So I put together a conversation and scripts that would enable this to work for anyone that imported the ERF.

So it seems three different people came up with three different solutions for transforming weapons. I think that variety alone indicates that this is custom content. Also indicates that transforming weaponry is über-cool. :)

On the vaguely off-chance that anyone in this thread is interested, I have just uploaded a small document to the new vault. In the first instance I made it for myself. In the second I thought that it might be of use to the NwN 1 community. What this .xls spreadsheet document is, is a catalogue of everything that has been made for the NwN 1 Custom Content Challenge in the past 4 years. You can get it here.

So why am I telling you about it? Well if nothing else it will tell you what has and hasn't been popular in all that time. Also, as I said in my previous post I would like you to do well with this and (silly me) I'm trying to help without interfering.

Last thought. Isn't it good that we in NwN 1 community didn't invent content challenges (we got the idea from other game's content boards) as otherwise someone might dismiss this enterprise of yours just because it was NwN 1 inspired.

If you do download it, thanks.

Before you sprain yourself playing the world's smallest fiddle for yourself I could care less if the idea was inspired by nwn 1. My point was we have different placeables than the original nwn so copying your themes doesn't necessarily work for us because we may have different needs.

You'd have to get over yourself to see that though, rather than making "last thoughts" that involve parting shots.

I am afraid that you appear to have "Selective Memory Syndrome". You now say ->

I could care less if the idea was inspired by nwn 1

When early on page 1 you said ->

Why is this contest even necessary? Because NWN did it and we should follow?

But that aside, I wholeheartedly agree when you say

we have different placeables than the original nwn so copying your themes doesn't necessarily work for us because we may have different needs

In fact, if what I have read here and elsewhere is true, I suspect that because of technical differences (animations) there may be some that won't translate from NwN 1 to NwN 2 anyway. Also downloading of that file is not compulsory, I just thought some people might find it interesting.

I'd like to see a new female armour variety for pregnant women

Take a look at this then!

I'll probably add a bigger belly, for the final month. And of course add the other races!

That'll be a nice capability to have for humans. I'm not sure how many other races need this; maybe half-orcs?

Does the lore state that the other races don't bear live offspring?

No. The lore states that races like elves and dwarves have few children and yet they live extended lifespans.. Ergo, examples of pregnancy will be rare for those, on average. Most inhabitants are going to be human, so pregnant human women will be more likely. The Orcish races are known to be fecund.

Noted.  But I would have totally bought it if you'd told me that dwarves hew their offspring directly out of the living rock to be given life in Moradin's forge.

Most inhabitants being human is an issue I'm trying to address in my own work.  :)

Well I don't know about dwarves, but I'll bet elves plant their spawn under oak trees and feed them berry wine.

"Most inhabitants being human is an issue I'm trying to address in my own work."

You misunderstood. It's a fact, not an issue. If you fail to observe this fact however, then it's an issue. And that's a fact.

You misunderstood.  I'm talking about demographic prominence in my modules.  As you're aware, I want to focus on more non-human lands.

If you're concerned about beastmen, be at ease.  I'm talking about the standard playable races, like those elves and dwarves whose architecture we've been talking about.

I was thinking about having one pregnant female for all playable races, after all the PC have been born...

Oh really I did not know. However I think you are looking for native tongue, as mother tongue sounds kind of creepy.

I should have known who here is not english as they usually have the best grammar, unlike half of my known circle of acquaintances who can't tell women from woman or there from their which is pathetic to say the least. I guess when you learn a new language, you obviously learn it and practice it with the correct words unlike people who take it for granted.

I notice your pregnant chicks do not have stock hair. What are those hairstyles?

"Mother tongue" is the classic phrasing.

Most probably Krighaur's (available here), or maybe there's one I'm working on in the lot too.

You're missing a comma before the word 'which'.

I'm also missing multiple quotation marks, Raj.
