When did they say that Rift portals spawn randomly? They seem to get a mission to close all rifts in a region, so i would guess they stay closed once closed.

Yeah, Rifts are not random spawns.

Once you close them, they'll stay closed, and there are a set number in each region.

I like the stream, especially with the combination of Cameron and Mike.

I don't know but from how I saw it I thought it amazing. And they actually mentioned that it was something they adopted from battlefield, cause remember the game is being built in frostbite, same as battlefield 4, and I could definitely see it. I liked it. Don't know what your problem is. Bad quality stream on your end perhaps? I'd say play the game yourself and let that be the deciding factor.

Then you have never seen a real beach. Real waves don't look like that. I don't care that it's from Battlefield. I doesn't look real. The producers directed our attention directly at the water, saying how good it is, but it's not. That's all I'm saying. There is no need to behave like I spit in your coffee. It's just water.

But it's good looking ''just water'' :P

Oh lovely, first we had complains about wrong vegetation, now we have one about water.....what's next? Rock formations look wrong?

Geez, it's a video game, not BBC documentary. <_<

Nothing really new, we still don't know half of the specializations...

A bit disappointed.

They should totally get David Attenbrough to narrate a playthrough of someone exploring the wildlife of Thedas :D

Well I don't know much about 3d animation but I'm sure that the animation of fluids is one of the most complex (it was some years ago and I think that have not changed).
As a stormy sea it looks great (views from the 'breakwater').., yeah it could be better when getting close to the beach but as I said, probably a 'proper animation' (in full range) would eat your PC/console 'resources'.

The Storm Coast is so so so much better than the Wounded Coast.

It's a bit crazy to think how much DA has moved forward.

They're trying to avoid spoilers. They even said at the start of the stream "no spoilers." Showing specializations counts as a spoiler.

Thanks Bioware for the extra stream that showed off a new area as well as the Dwarfquisitor in action, what the the American accent really sounds like, more of Blackwall's voice and avoiding spoilers

Fixed :)

Loving the voice of the Inquisitor in this one. Did it remind anyone else of the narrator from Baldur's Gate? Think I have to use this voice for my Inquisitor now :D

Are there any other videos where this voice is shown off a bit more?

Sadly not yet. This was the only gameplay where they showed off the male American voice (and we don't really have any samples of Sumalee Montano as the femerican Inquisitor yet outside a couple of CC samples).

Things I got from the stream:
- Falldamage is on
- Damage/HP scaling is very asymmetric, party members has at most 400+ HP, while basic enemies has 2000+HP. Friendly fire is going to be an exercise in frustration.
- Respawn rate is rather high. Bandits took the place of a rift almost the moment party left view distance.
- Items scale fast with levels.

Spoiler is a term referred to the plot of a game/book/film/story. A skill tree is part of the gameplay, it is not spoiler at all.

Good for you, the only things i want to see now are the rest of the mage's specializations (and generally the specializations still not revealed).

If they do another stream I would like to see how armor crafting works. Some people say you can bypass armor restrictions if you craft/customize armor, but I'm doubtful.

By your logic showing a new zone of the game is also a giant spoiler, so they shouldn't have choosed a new location. Sorry but that logic is wrong.

If you don't want to deal with friendly fire you can turn it off.

Some high-level gear can be given armour components that mimic other classes.

So a mage can wear plate armour that still gives them bonuses to magic and willpower.

We have a barbarian mage who wears plate armour in my tabletop rpg campaign. We call him Mr. Contradiction. :P

Didn't they mention during one fight (I think in the camp) that they are playing on hard? The would explain the difference in the HP amounts.

But you can't wear armor that  actually 'looks' like heavy plate armor (like templar) if you are let's say a mage?
