I have a better idea.
Let's install a dialogue option that's available in every dialogue where you spontaneously slit your own inquisitor's throat and restart the game, wiping the save file in the process.

To be fair, the Inquisitor shouldn't care one iota about Bethany. In fact the Inquisitor shouldn't even know who Bethany is.
I speak in terms of DA2. But I'm sure Culen will give me a reason to desire his head on a pike.

The only instance in where Hawke even comes close to be deserving of Death is if she sides with Anders and condones what he has done. Aside from that, I can't condemn Hawke for things beyond his/her control gets dropped in their lap.

"Sigh" that's why I said "Nah" to the option to kill Hawke who like Anders actually does have some fans (not me but still...) but the fallout for most of DA2 to DA:I's problems would make for some great tension.
Don't care if Hawke sides with anders, if Hawke is a saint or a downright bastard. Killing hawke is foolish since we are facing a demon apocalypse or possible end of Thedas if the champion wants to help I shall let him/her help.
Don't understand why people want to murder Hawke. It makes no sense plus Hawke is STILL a hero to most people across the lands.
It would be one thing if this thread had any shred of validity... But why would BioWare ever set up a scenario where the Inquisitor kills Hawke? This is probably one of the most ridiculous things I have heard suggested on these forums yet.
Hawke is a hero. He is the Champion of Kirkwall. Unless Hawke was behind the breach in the sky and is responsible for the Elder One, this is an absolutely terrible suggestion. DA2 may have been a disappointment, but it wasn't because of the characters or the story. The disappointment was the absolute underwhelming gameplay experience and the faulty philosophy BioWare had when developing the game. Had DA2 had the solid foundation DAO had, I believe many would view DA2, and Hawke, in a very different light today.

I like playing a mage in DA2. I just love their staff-twirling awesomeness. I also just love Carver too much. He's probably my favourite companion in DA2. He has a really great arc.
People who want to kill Hawke make me sad, though. I was really attached to Hawke and I'm overjoyed to be seeing her returning. I kind of hope she's a secret companion.

It should just be like the first 3 elder scrolls games- you can fight and kill anyone as long as you're capable of it. Realistic and doesn't take any extra resources
Eh, im actually quite fond of my Hawkes', I wouldn't really want an option to murder any character I spent so much time with.
(Except maybe one or two of my Wardens. Some of those guys are proper arseholes in need of a wee trim offa the top...
