What ever you feel about Dragon Age 2, or Hawke can I just be Captain Obvious here, and point out with out Dragon Age 2, Hawke, and various other characters there would be no 3rd game? Maybe some books, youtube shows and movies but no DA:I. Probably won't make any friends with this but Imma say it anyway. Without 2 there is no 3. So hate away. I will be over there finishing up replaying DA:O and DA 2 to tell the story I want to tell before I play DA:I. *motions vaguely over yonder somewhere with his hand*
will we be able to have an option to kill hawke?

Hopefully they do but it is a "fail" ending with hawke kicking your butt for trying to be a smart arse
Regardless the sentiments on this board there alot of ppl that like Hawke and, shock and Horror, alot that actually prefer DA2 over DA:O and like the direction BioWare took even if the game was a tad rushed

Agreed. While the quality certainly wasn't there, I greatly appreciated Bioware's attempt to make a story beyond their tried and true 'go to these 4 places and then save the world' that they've used time and time again.

It depends on how Hawke is presented. If he is working against something the Inquisitor is trying to do, killing him should be an option. The worst case scenario would be for Hawke to go the Tallis route. Your Inquisitor runs into Hawke, who is doing something your DA:I protagonist doesn't approve of, but you're forced to tag along as Hawke's sidekick. Hawke and the Inquisitor are two entirely seperate characters who may not share the same goals.
I have a strong feeling that both characters will have similar goals, especially if Hawke's involvement deals with a common threat.

I agree, It's just too bad about DA2. I wonder what it would've been without that rush job - with more varied environments, without the cookie-cutter combat encounters and a better-executed final chapter. I've just listened to Varric's retelling of the events of DAO and DA2 in the DA Keep, and it's become rather apparent how well-crafted DA2's story was - IMO Bioware's best story since KotOR. It sacrificed some player freedom for that but - as opposed to ME3 - it kept roleplaying mostly intact (as far as it can ever be with paraphrasing). I wouldn't want every game to be like that, and after ME3 giving players more freedom is long overdue in Bioware's games, but it was a refreshing change at the time.

The Warden is dead.
Lol, no he ain't. The Warden is the DA version of Shepard. His too popular to be just killed off.

So people don't like their own protagonist and want to kill them as well? Whatever float their boat, I suppose. Pretty weird regardless.Just the people they don't like.

Personally, I feel that any character in the game should be killable.
But hey, I'm just a knife. You don't have to listen to me.

Yeah, what I mean is, Bioware won't let you kill characters just because you don't like them.
No they are more focused on killing characters that you do like. Mother's, Fathers, Brothers and Sisters to name but a few.

I wouldn't kill him if I had the oppertunity. I liked Hawke, for the most part. Just wished I could play someone else in DA2 - for variety.

Don't you know Varric made all the fights scenes up? There's a reason he "resets" to level 1 in Inquisiton ![]()

Varric knows the tale of the Warden, too. Maybe he made that one up as well? ![]()

If he ends up being the Elder One I am so punching him in the face and demanding my Oghren back.

I find the opposite to be true. Every character should be killable like Skyrim. Quest breaking senarios could be notified via message.. freedom and options are what matter.
On the flipside a lot of the deaths have no real meaning, like killing Javaris.. or even Zevran.. like that was put in just to show the finality of choice.. Possibly scorch earthed the chance of him ever returning in a large capacity. It's a shrug kill basically, why even bother.
