Calm down. The game is not even released yet. And it brings a ton of new stuff.
While many small things may seem disappointing now, there are new things going on. And the whole of it, might be good.
You have to believe that there is a plan.
...But the coins... I can only think it's lazy carelessness and thoughtlessness by whoever took the decision. That person probably thought it was irrelevant. I don't agree. Not important maybe. Trivial maybe. But that doesn't make it irrelevant. But still, it's not important, and I want to taste the full game before passing judgments. I think there's a good chance it'll be a good game.

To be totally honest this is more realistic.
In terms of an actual economy, unless Gold/Silver/Copper pieces were just completely arbitrary in terms of value and not actually linked to the metals themselves - i.e. they're a medieval fiat currency, which is ... unrealistic, to say the least - the neat 1/10/100 pseudo-metric ratio would probably wreck it.
There's a reason why in real life for a very long time and in most games, there's just one kind of coin (or a coin that can be literally divided - i.e. Spanish pieces of eight). Or, if there are multiple coins, their actual value in relation to each other floats.
