Because I can't decide.

I thought I did but eff me the possibilties are just too many. I'm sure I'm gonna end up doing what I do all the time and start the game 30 times before I finally decide on a character to go the length with the 1st time.

How about you? I'm not asking who your character is, who your planned romance is etc. I'm asking if you already know what you're gonna be doing for your 1st (or only ) playthrough of DA:I.

As we get closer to release date I get more and more excited. I just don't know if my body is ready for this.

EDIT: Wow guys I'm floored by the response. So many awesome Inquisitor stories planned. I'd love to be able to just watch them all unfold. But I'm thrilled this topic is making you come out with your people. Despite what I said above, feel free to keep telling us who your character is, or any other details of your planned playthrough.

The hype is real, you guys. I'm beside myself with the waiting.

With any game with a morality system I follow my moral compass for the first run, but not necessarily what I would do. Basically strive to pick all the 'good' choices.

Yes, I have, although it did take a while.  If you really can't decide, I would suggest flipping a coin and sticking with the decision rather than restarting over and over... just don't get too comfortable with that method or you'll wind up like Harvey Dent (Two-Face) and flip a coin to decide everything.

Since I am a roleplay, I been thinking on this but yea as you can tell I got my first character planned out.

Navilia Trevelyan - human female - rogue(archer) - bisexual(going to romance either Josephine or Cullen)

Background: The youngest daughter of the Trevelyan family. Her family through her mother has connections to the Kingdom of Nevarra. As her older siblings are in the Templar order, she was raised to join the Chantry as a sister. She long knew that she would be sister, and this gave her purpose and faith. Similar to the others in her family, she found her devotion in the chantry but also she knew that a mother of the chantry can have power, particular for the youngest child. She knew she was not going to become the head of the household, unless her sibllings die, but the power of a mother or grand cleric in the chantry could compliment the family and she can use that people to help the people of Ostwick.

She learned some combat skills from her older brothers in the templar order who thought that Navilia should know some method to defend herself, especially with the rising mage-templar conflict.

As an acolyte sister, she went to the peace-conference on behalf of both her family and the chantry. While not yet a sister. She was expecting that when she returned for her vows to be said and for her to start her career in the Chantry.

Personality: She is a diplomat by her nature. Preferring words to swords or daggers. Though she does recolonize the usage of both. She is a realist optimist. By that, she tends to have a postive outlook to life, and while she isn't a ruthless lady, she is a bit of a schemer and understands the values of force, diplomace and subterfuge. For she recognizes that to get things done, one must understand politics and the schemes of men and be able to use her silver tongue to help others.

Naturally a big part of all of this though is that she is rather devoted to the teachings of the Chantry. While she isn't a zealot, she is incredibly devoted to Andraste and the Maker, and the andrastian chantry.

Politics: Navilia is pro-chantry. Before the whole incident at the peace summit and becoming the Inquistor, she was going to take her vows and enter the priesthood of the Chantry. She strongly supports the chantry and any thing that supports the chantry she will go for.

Likewise, she is pro-circle she believes that the circle is a good institution for the mages. At the start of the game, she has little idea what the mages mean by “freedom” She doesn't know what mages go through. That said she isn't anti-mage, she grew up with stories of the Mortalitasi from her mother, and though she does not understand the Mortalitasi at all, she has some respect for mages like them.

She will also be slightly biased towards Nevarra and Ostwick. I am not sure how many choices that will deal with either country, but she will lean towards favoring those two countries.

Damn I'm jealous of you guys. lol.

I've tried the coin-flip method believe it or not. lol. I always get the itch to try something else.

It's like, I know I'm gonna play this game like dozens of times with dozens of characters to completion anyway, but there's always something about going through it the first time. I guess I could just choose a random character and go with it but....

Well it's a good problem to have. Games like these offer an embarrassment of riches of ways to play. The hype is certainly real.

But seriously, jealous of you guys who've got it all planned out already. :D

I know she'll be a Qunari and she'll be a warrior, but the specifics are still bouncing around in my head. I've tried to significantly differentiate each of my main PCs in every game so far in terms of personality, class, etc etc, but I can't quite nail down how I'll do that this time around.

I think mine as planned will be my female human mage.
My husband plans on going with either a male human warrior or mage.
So we got most things worked out.and if anything abit of advice just make one you feel comfortable with and see how far you get and if you want make several saves each a different decision and go back and forth with it till you find one you like most. Also to everyone who is playing the game I hope you all have a wonderful time and enjoy it to the fullest.

I have mine planned out.

It took some time, but I finally settled on one that I'd like to be played out first.  For a while though I had ideas bouncing around in my head like nobodies business, I just couldn't settle.  Of course though...once I get to that CC....who knows what could happen.....  :pinched:

Oh yeah I hear that.

But it's awesome to hear from the community in this, and the kind words. I honestly don't mind re-starting the game over and over I mean it's a bit annoying but I've done it with every BioWare rpg so far. :P Maybe it's just habit at this point.

Still it's great hearing how you guys are planning your characters. Keep them coming!

it isn't bad to have more then once concept idea. I have as second, a dalish mage. Of course it also helps that I plan on roleplaying and acting as my character shall in game. So, I am trying to figure out more about my own inquistor to just get a sense of whom she is; even if I did just post a massive information about her, but the more I can come up with and do the better IMO :)
