First will be a Male Elf rogue whose only saving the world because the infamy might finally allow him to start a harem filled with elven slave girls. Second will be a humale male mage that charms the pants off of Cassandra and third will be a female warrior that is powerless to resist whatever seduction spells Josephine is casting.
So who has a definite 1st playthrough character planned?

Ohh I do, both in how he will fight, how he will act and so on (elf dagger rouge artificer). I'm planning on romancing Dorian and who I will have in the party and all that but know that some or all of that will change. I don't have enough information to really decide (won't until I actually play) but it's a nice way to keep busy without going looking for spoilers. Countdown meme and thinking about where your inquisitor came from or his motivations is really just a nice way to prepare without setting anything in stone. I had planned to play funny male rouge in DA2, ended up playing female mage diplomat after about half of act one. No character plan survives contact with the game.

Female Human or Elf Mage (depending on how hot I can make the character)

Yeah, I've known since they announced that races are back. I almost swayed to Qunari, but nothing can stop me to roam around Thedas with elf.

He always wanted to use his spirit medium talents to become a powerful spirit healer, like Wynne, a hero of the fifth blight.
However, with the violence that has erupted from the mage and templar conflict, he has had to learn to harness lethal magic to defend himself from those who label him apostate, as well as mages who use their gifts for evil.
He will either learn to become a mighty Knight Enchanter, or use his talent to become a powerful necromancer.
His love interest will be Cassandra or Josephine.
My second will be a rogue Tempest.

I have a definite idea, but I've learned by now that a good storyline often changes who I thought my character was, and makes them far more interesting. Which is a huge part of the fun.

I never plan my playthroughs (in DA or any other game) in advance.

Yep! My first is a Male Elf Inquisitor who is a Rift Mage and romances Iron Bull. Not sure of appearance yet but I want him to look very elf-y and possibly have Dread Wolf tattoos if available. Not sure about the name, possibly Zeth or Leon. He is pro-mage and anti-templar but agrees with some values of the Circle, but thinks that it needs improving a lot.

I have no idea of what class or race to play but it probably be human or qunari. I am always a supermegaultra-good guy in Bioware's games so I will guess it will happen this time as well!

I do. Female mage. I was going to do a "mess up" playthrough first, but I want my first go-through to be my ideal experience.
Which means just rolling with my main Inquisitor first.

I am still deciding between a Mal Elven Mage and a Male Human Mage. For the moment I am leaning towards Lavellan but I want to see how the male elf Inquisitor looks in game, we haven't seen him yet.

In my first playthrough I will play a human (depends) very close to Cass because he wants truth and peace. He will search to bring peace to people and he will not harm innocent people. (In my second, I will be exactly the reverse or almost and will pair with blackwall I think: destruction is what matters.)

I have a character planned, as far as who he is BEFORE the story starts. I don't have much planned on how he evolves or who I like or all the little choices I make. I think that takes out the fun of actually playing the game.

I plan on doing a male human tempest for my first playthrough. But I'm probably gonna consider another class once the rest of the specializations and skill trees are revealed.

DAO- Human Male Sword and Board Warrior named Ranadiel
DA2- Human Male Sword and Board Warrior named Ranadiel
DAI- Human Male Sword and Board Warrior named Ranadiel
I will probably end up making my Hawke and Inquisitor look exactly the same. There is a subplot in my world state of Flemeth creating clones to take part in major events and doing a very bad job at covering it up. The games just don't touch upon it very much. ![]()

I'm really confused what I should play as to begin with, but least I've got my previous save sorted via the Keep. My Warden is a Warrior, Human Noble that romanced Leliana and made Alistair the king. He also made Alistair have the Old God baby with Morrigan (yeah I should have thought that one through haha, thought this outcome would have been more dramatic). Hawke was a pro-mage.. Mage! He romanced Merril and his brother Carver ended up with the Grey Wardens.
I have a few ideas for my Inquisitor, but the options available are making it so hard to pick! I'm leaning towards a Mage combined with an Elf or Human, and will likely romance Josi or Cassandra depending whichever appeals to his personality more. Need the damn game on my Xbox One to really know. In terms of specialization and morality, I tend to go for the 'right' choice on most occasions and steering toward defensive abilities forst and powerful offense later in the game. Occassionally when I can see that someone really needs to be punished outside the course 'justice' I tend to take matters into my own hands. E.g. The serial killer from DA2 .. yeah he didn't survive.
What interest me most is the mage-templar conflict and the racial hatred for elves.

Actually, how can you know the age of the character...? I got some feelings that your character's going to be forced as somewhere in 18-30 years old... In Origins I played a Cousland and everyone keep reminding me that I'm the "young man/young lady". Just wish that we can choose the age of our character... I've always want to play a character that's old and wise and cool like Obi-Wan Kenobi in the original Star Wars...
Anyway, I'm planning to do either a very skeptical and self aware female human/dalish mage or either an epic selfless hero-type male human warrior. I'm a sucker for stereotype... ![]()
But, the best will always be: Male Qunari Rogue. Showing everyone that being a discreet Assassin doesn't mean that you needs to be small. Size does NOT matter. Mwa Ha Ha
