Thanks!  Is it possible to change the email address associated with my Bioware forum account, without changing the email address associated with my EA/Origin account?

it's done on origin in same way. but if you're using different emai. I don't know. no experience with that.

Spoke with the Bioware forum moderator (BioWareMod02), as well as with the Origin (EA) customer support folks.  Here's the way it works:  An Origin account is required prior to creating a Bioware forum account.  Your Bioware forum account is "linked" to that Origin account via email address.  The email address must be the same for both accounts.  Therefore, what I had to do is ask the moderators to delete my old Bioware forum account (My Settings -> Delete My Account).  Then I created a new Bioware forum account, with the same "Display Name" (Scrotok), but my new email address.  The Origin account was unchanged (i.e., it still uses my old email address).  Problem solved!

I think what happened was that the existing Origin account has been linked to the new BioWare account.

If that had happened then there wasn't any point in deleting the account

Sorry, forgot to mention that.  You're correct.  I created a second Origin account (with my new email), then created a new Bioware forum account (using that same new email).  The old Origin account continues to exist (with the old email), but the Bioware forum account associated with that old Origin account was deleted.  The reason I needed to keep the old email for the old Origin account is that my son plays Xbox, and his EA games are "connected" to that old Origin account, and that old email.  I didn't want him to have my new email/password, and I didn't want his EA games "linked" to my Origin account, so I just created a new Origin account.

You should be able to change the email on an Origin account without it affecting your Xbox. For example my personal Origin account uses a gmail.com address and my Xbox account uses a hotmail.com email but they are still linked.

True, but that's not the issue here.  I've also got an Xbox account (through Microsoft).  But what I'm talking about here is the Origin account and the "linked by email" Bioware forum account.
