Too bad though . Would have been nice if they had a different look lol as such....I though they were the same thing ![]()
If it weren't for those meddling kids and their Mabari?
Through in First Enchanter Irving and yes....that is why.

They might have a different look this game if they appear
I like to see desire demons in the game.

I realize that, but I think ultimately hope and despair are the strongest human emotions.
What is a "strong" emotion? Anything can be anything. Learn to stretch.

i think they couldnt show them. rated m
Hope is the only emotion humans cannot survive with. Learn to psychology.
Um, yeah, I'm going to call BS on this and say you just made it uo.
Don't see why they wouldn't. They're one of the more powerful types I believe.
Second only to Pride Demons as far as we have encountered in the dragon age series on a danger scale. And considering that your inquisitor is the leader and will be constantly seeking power and influence desire demons will probably be one of the worst things you can face. I wouldn't even be surprised if at one point you run into a desire demon that wants the exact same deal as the demon did in Divinity: Dragon Commander where you sacrifice your romance option for more power and somehow it will actually be tempting.

I don't remember anything about this from psychology.

I am going to assume you mean "cannot survive withOUT" And I'd love just one source from a psycology text that this is the case.
I know people have philosophically talked about hope in this manner but that isn't psychology.
That looks quite a bit like WoW warlock armor.
Also, aren't despair demons the ones really at the top of the demonic hierarchy?

TBH I don't think there is a demon Hierarchy. Just powerful and weaker variations of all spirits.

You quote me every time I say something and continue in pointless debate with me when I every time I clearly express my opinion. First of all I said I think its the strongest and this idea was motivated from WOT when it vaguely says The good spirits that we know of so far are: compassion, valor, justice, faith, and hope (in order of ascending power). Hope and faith are among the strongest but its also safe to claim Hope spirits are the strongest due to certain ascending naming the book has given us. Why name the weakest spirit first and the strongest one last? Specially when it names the demons in same fashion.
The psychologist C.R. Snyder linked hope to the existence of a goal, without hope there is no future because the very future we are talking about stems from the hope of people wanting to have it. So without future there is no Compassion, no Justice, no Valor and no Faith.
And that is just one of many, if you are interested you can look them up, this is neither the place nor the time. Dr. Barbara L. Fredrickson, Alfred Adler, Ernst Bloch, D. W. Winnicott all argue the same, more or less. Claiming hope is the emotional and psychological engine and without hope its not really possible to achieve anything else. For example we strive for Justice in society because we hope for a better future, if we knew for sure that there is no tomorrow you bet no one would care for anything be it Justice or Compassion or whatever. So personally I think it really is the engine.
But enough off topic, if you want to discuss this more you are always welcome to PM.
I'm more looking forward to the new demons. The ones they're calling nightmares look pretty creepy. Do you think Imshael will show up?

I hope so, what sort of demon is he? Fear or Despair is fitting for him.

Isn't there a line from the devs about how in Solas's opinion, the only reason there are so many demons in the Fade is because that's what people expect to see in the Fade? And something in the Codex about how no one knows if the five types of demons exist independently, or because the demons got that from the expectations of dreamers...?
If there is a hierarchy, maybe it was one the spirits copied from humans. And maybe that hierarchy could break down in the anarchy following a Fade tear.

Never really liked them myself, as far as how they looked. I modded them in DA:O just so they would have some more clothes on. They were just distracting otherwise.
the only thing that I wish for when it comes to desire demons is that a few can be hunks? aside from fan-service, why are all desire demons sexualized women shouldn't they have a few desire demons that appeare as men as well? ![]()

Gaider said they tried to make them look androgynous before but it simply did not look right. Well they are known to shapeshift into different forms to trick someone or using it to make deals easier. When trying you are trying to rescue Feynriel the desire demon shape shifted into the form of his father in the purpose of trying to control him or to get him to give himself over.
