So my little brother came over to stay last night, which he never does.  I was supposed to be watching the UFC, but he was having so much fun playing Minecraft that I decided to go to sleep instead.  I woke up and read that I'd missed a 'fight for ages'.  20 minutes later, the castle he'd been up all night building was nuked.  I travelled a distance away from the ruin, then waited for him to wake.  When he got close to it his face was a picture of "what the..." then he started crying!

 

Anyone with experience of siblings crying because you destroyed their sandcastle have any advice for me?

Rebuilding his "sand castle" is a good start, because it would be replacing that which he has lost.

I think for now, giving him space may be a good idea. Find a way to make it up to him. Hell, build a similar castle for him if you want to be clever about it. Castle Ninja'd.

Time may heal the wound, though I suspect the scar may stick.

Ultimately, try making it up to him somehow. Hopefully he can forgive you.
