I rebuilt the castle, bigger and better.  It took him a while to admit that my renovation of his ruins (I pointed out that his castle looked as if a caveman had carved it out of granite with his teeth) was better than the original.  When he finally did, I blew it up again.

 

Does anyone else get that urge to do nasty stuff to people, just because you can?

I'd delete their WoW accounts.

 

I would probably do them a favour with the latter.

There are violent people out there, the world is violent.  Martial Arts is about self defence, incapacitating your attacker as efficiently as possible.  A prominent theory is that the Shaolin Temple is the birthplace of Martial Arts.  The monks who meditated there needed to exercise as their muscles were turning to mush, and came up with a series of techniques to defend their temple from bandits.

 

Mixed-Martial-Arts is a sport (regulated by athletic commisions) and has its own unified rules (no groin shots, eye gouging, etc).  The UFC was origianlly set-up to find out which Martial Art was the most effective in a real fight situation.  Now, all the Martial Artists who compete know at least the basics of the disciplines which were found to be effective.  Mixed-Martial Arts is about finding out who the best Martial Artists are, not beating each other senseless.

The fights are brutal to people who haven't fought. So I get it.

 

But yeah, it's not mindless either.

 

Quite a bit of skill and quick thinking goes into those beatings.

 

If you don't think in a ring you're f*cked.

One Martial Artist can manipulate the other's body so that they are forced to submit.  There doesn't have to be any 'beating'.

 

The best Martial Artist wins almost all of the time.

I started training Martial Arts because of my admiration for the Martial Artists who compete in that 'garbage'.  It was that training that saved my eye.

 

Martial Arts was designed to protect monks from their attackers.  Mixed-Martial-Arts is a combat sport (like boxing, kickboxing, muay thai - do you think they are also garbage?).  It pits one Martial Artist against the other to find out who's the best.  It's competition.

 

Your avatar looks Anime related.  I'm guessing you watch that?  Tell me why I should watch that rather than the UFC.

Besides, I do/have/am.

 

I wouldn't say "for those who haven't fought" otherwise.

I'm not gonna cry over it. If you think it's garbage then cool.

 

As long as we're both in agreement that Rei is sex and more sex when he ****** slaps teenagers then we can still visit Geth in his box near Otakon.

Hell, I don't even like watching it, or any sports. That's why I'm an anime/gamer nut.

 

The stuff is boring if you aren't doing it.
