Had Sandal's present been confirmed in DA:I? It had been hinted in DA2 but I haven't seen any confirmation yet.

Ser Cauthrein
Came in here to post this.
Also, Aveline.
Cauthrien, Aveline and Cassandra would make me a very happy DA4 protagonist.

I would like Morrigan's child. It would set up some interesting conflicts with Morrigan as she would try to regain control of her child.

Ketojan, somehow; I can't shake the feeling that he was supposed to be one originally. I'd love The Messenger and Scout Harding as well.
Ketojan was originally meant to be a companion, but that got cut. The same goes for Jowan.

If the next game has another time jump then she could already be past her prime. Probably why a lot of the suggestions so far are on child characters.

Morrigan's son -- if you didn't do the DR and she was not romanced, then her son is by some other, unimportant fellow
And I may or may not be advocating for this on account of having seen some yummy fan art of her grown-up son ![]()
Maraas -- The qunari I actually wanted for a LI/companion... stoic and principled, he left the qun and is trying to find purpose in life, but to leave the qun is to leave behind his purpose. I could spend hours talking to him and picking his brain, dear man. And perhaps doing other things to him >.>
Lia -- I believe she lives no matter what. But I would love to have a elven warrior who admits in a moment of weakness that she once admired a woman named Aveline Vallen, and that she once met the Champion of Kirkwall, who inspired her to be more than she ever could have dreamed.
Alain -- sadly, he can die, so it wouldn't be possible, but he's still one of my all time favorite NPCs... why, nobody knows, not even me
I just love him, kay?

Grand Enchanter Fiona, Lord Seeker Lambert and Flemeth
Grand Enchanter Fiona - Intriguing character, one who definitely would have some interesting stories to tell regarding her
troubled childhood, adventures with the Grey Wardens, Duncan and her beloved King Marric. I'm also curious on her opinion
on Alistair depending on your decisions in Origins.
Lord Seeker Lambert - He came across as intimidating & tenacious in Dragon Age: Asunder and while I'm convinced that he'd be likely to divide opinion given his resentment of mages, Lambert should have an fascinating view on the Mage-Templar conflict and engaging history to explain his hatred of magic in general.
Flemeth - (It's highly unlikely given her extraordinary powers) even so, having an enigmatic and badass Dragon in you're party would be terrific fun.
