I know I shouldn't be that sensitive to it, but unfortunately I am. Constantly it is said that the release date is 18th for the US and the 21st in the EU, but that simply isn't the case. As far as I know and can look up, the release date for all of Europe is the 20th, the only country in the EU where it comes out the 21st, is the UK.

Don't get me wrong, I am glad they mention the European release date and that it actually is earlier than what they state, but the fact that the UK is the only English speaking country doesn't mean the rest of Europe doesn't see or read these announcements or that the UK is the only relevant country in Europe.

So please, BioWare, keep that in mind next time you make an announcement regarding release dates or something similar.

I live in the UK and it angers me why I cannot play the game at the same time as everyone else. What did I do to make you hate me BioWare!?

Good news for us UK gamers. Any bugs that will crop up on the NA version will be patched long before the UK release :D

I'm fairly certain you're wrong. Please be so kind and name all the European countries that have 20th as release date. I know about Sweden (and maybe Norway and / or other Nordic countries?).

I assure you unfortunately UK is not the only European country that has 21th as release date (the other one is Ireland).

Edit: I've checked and 20-th really seems to be the release date. Weird since in Europe we usually get games in Friday. However,  I'm not complaining :D

The game has been delayed already so  is a few days  really going to be an issue?

Personally I'm not bothered about it being on the 21st,prefer it to be weekend  Friday anyway :) .

i dont think its biowares decision, i think its more of the release day that the retailers go by, uk is friday, US is tuesday, and the rest of the world can vary from place to place

Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain and probably more get it on the 20th.

This is not a problem unique to Bioware, it has to do with retailers in the U.K.  Complain to them.

It's nothing to do with Bioware, but really, is it worth getting knickers in a twist about?

See, that's why I am so confused.

During the Twitch streams, they keep saying that DAI is going to release on the 21th in the EU. ( Which the UK is part of, some people don't seem to know that :D), but IRC it's going to hit stores on the 20th outside of the UK. But the Italian, German and French offical sites claim that it's going to be out on the 20th. (And if Germany gets it on the 20th, guess that means Austria should get it on the 20th aswell)

The general release date in Sweden is the 20th, but apparently Gamespot doesn't release it until the 21st, so that's when I'll get it. One day more or less won't matter, as I'll have AC Unity by then anyway.

I'll repost this for quick reference.

That's what the official page says

United States    18th
United Kingdom    21st
Australia    20th
France    20th
Italia    20th
Deutschland    20th
España    20th
Polska    20th
Brasil    20th
日本 (Japan)    27th    (or 20th, not sure about that one)
대한민국 (S.Korea)    18th
Россия    20th

No info there, for other countries.

I assure you unfortunately UK is not the only European country that has 21th as release date.

It's the 20th here in Finland (I just checked from Origin). By quickly googling some Swedish online stores (like Spelbutiken and Electro World), the release date is actually the 20th in Sweden as well.

I originally thought the release date was the 21st too. Some of the local stores showed the wrong date. DAI's Wikipedia page still claims that the EU release date is the 21st, although that seems to apply only to UK. I think that misunderstanding has been spreading far, which is why some people are confused about the actual date.

Edit: For some reason Gamestop claims the release date is the 21st in all Nordic countries, even though the official release date is the 20th. Most likely Gamestop has accidentally marked the UK release date. I can't really imagine why Gamestop would delay the release on purpose when their competitors are already making sales.

Yes, the UK is sometimes separate from the rest of Europe when it comes to release dates. But I don't see why 3 days is a big deal in the first place. You've waited years; you can wait a few more days.

I hate that I can't play it til 21st. I know it's not BW's fault and I'm not complaining to them. Just expressing how immensely, monumentally frustrating I find it.

20 it is for continental Europe I think.

Anyways those who bought by Origins could connect via VPN to S.Korea and play on the 18 ;) This worked with other EA games so I guess it will work with Inq.

I work during the week, so actually even if it came out in Ireland on the 18th or 20th, I still couldn't play it until the 21st. So it's worked out nicely for me.

I just booked the 21st off and decided to make a weekend of it.

The same thing has bothered me in the streams, OP. It's not the release date itself, it's the fact that the devs are saying the EU release is on the 21th when it's really not the for most of the EU. It's not a big deal by any means, just a bit weird to hear when I know I'm getting the game on the 20th  :D (Finland here, and yes, I'm certain since Origin says the release date is the 20th).
