I've watched a lot of videos and read a couple of gamesite-posts a couple of days. Some say it will release the 21:st as I originally thought, but a lot of sites and videos claims that it will release the 20:th. I can't get my head around this. It's just one day, I know that but at the same time it's ONE day to much.

GameStop told me to come pick up mine on the 21st.

 

The 20th isn't the release date for the whole European region, since at least the UK (and I think Scandinavia) won't get it until the 21st. Check from Origin / GameStop or your local equivalent.

It's gonna be the 21st on Origin for all of Europe, though. I'm german and it says "November 20, 12 AM" and as the whole 12 AM thing is pretty much a grey area I contacted the customer support and they clarified that, in this case, 12 AM means the end of the day.

Obviously, the person I talked to could be wrong but they did quite some asking around to be absolutely sure. In the UK it'll be unlocked on the 21st at 1:00 AM.

I'm pretty sure that's wrong. The retail release is on the 20th for Germany. All PC copies will have to get authenticated via Origin anyway so selling the game to the end customer before the game gets officially unlocked in his/her region would be quite stupid.

Oh no, Scandinavia and lots of other EU countries get it on the 20th, UK and some other countries on the 21st. It's all rather confusing, so it probably is for the best that everyone checks the date for their region in Origin.

Finland represent! If you're getting a physical copy, there might be some delay, but the digital copy should be playable at around 1:00 AM on the 20th.

That's what I always thought, too. But you can't really find a definite answer and people are really split about this topic. But as I said, the customer support person could easily be wrong.

Then again, if you're playing it on PC it doesn't matter anyway - just use a VPN and start playing on the 17th.

Okay, this is just weird. I should just probably walk over to the GS tomorrow and ask them which date is correct. Except that the chances are they don't know either.

 

Won't make a difference in my case, since I won't be able to play it until Friday, but it would be nice to be able to pick it up beforehand if 20th really is the correct release date.

I live in Portugal and it says on Origins 21 of November at 0:00.

I think it really depends on when the shops have new inventory in your country. For example, in my country it says the game is coming out on the 21st, but since that comes on Friday and new inventory comes on Thursday, I think that it will actually already be on the shop on the 20th.

Gamestop Finland was advertising DAI on their Facebook page with release date of 21st so I asked them. They thanked me for correcting them and told that the release date actually should be the 20th

Kinda hard to believe that a company like GameStop would make that big of a mistake, but no one is infallible, I guess. Glad to see they'll fix it.
