Also, if the problem is with leg animations, just give us a low-high skirt!

Spoiler

This is way more detailed than I would ever ask for, but it would totally work!

I really love this. Like Nefla said, it's similar to a long coat. You could probably even wear pants/tights underneath it. It adds a bit of feminine flair without being completely impractical for battle. :)

Though, I have to admit, I would LOVE a scene where the Inquisitor has to rip the fancy gown Vivienne made them wear so they can get down to business. Some of my Inquisitors would be reluctant to do it, others would do it gleefully!

Yes yes yes! It would be built and structured the same way as the long coats :) Too bad they won't add it or any new dress. The best we can hope for is the choice to wear our existing armor but I doubt they'll do even that T_T

I feel like all these different lacking elements are pushing me towards only playing male inquisitors :(

Hopefully if we keep on giving them practical examples they'll know how to do feminine dresses/outfits/armours by DA4? Lol, I know our options suck in the present, but I have hope that BioWare will catch up with our ideas sooner rather than later.

You have no idea how much I would love this scene. My girlier rogues would slice it very carefully into a whole new design. :P

And that "feminine" isn't the same thing as "sexualized" :pinched:

And I'll throw my hat into the ring with this

Who will be forced to look like George Washington, bald, or someone with mud blobs on their head instead of hair lol. The female Qunari hair was one of the negative marks against playing a female character imo. I think I've written off playing a female Qunari. I was also disappointed to discover that both male voices for the inquisitor are deep and gruff and manly. I thought the American accent would sound like Malborn from Skyrim :( that's a minor qualm though.

I am actually the opposite. I love the hair and horns but gave up on the idea because they are lacking on the muscle department. Their upper bodies are even smaller than the human male, which is really strange and sad. If people that like more elegant and slim figures could go for human or elven, why every time I want to play a buff FemInquisitor or whatever, they take the choice way? it is not even only bioware, people are afraid of women with muscle, it is ridiculous.

Well guess It is dwarves and elves than.

As for the topic I really hope, that at least there is a DLC in the future with more diverse clothes.

What makes you think that? Do we have any screenshots where the inquisitor shows any skin? Just in terms of sheer bulk from the fully dressed images it doesn't look too bad. It could've been a lot worse, it could have looked like... the concept art

I actually agree with you on the muscles. I hoped the female Qunari would be more like the male Qunari, big and beefy and could snap the smaller races in half.

Yeah now that I think about it, they've been pretty good on making sure you see no skin on any of the inquisitors, im not even sure you can undress the inquisitor or any of the companions like you could in DAO or DA2, in fact in the last live stream didn't cameron switch out some armor and it de facto to default appearances for Sera?

How? by definition of typical humanoid, females are largely smaller than the male counterpart, especially in terms of muscle mass and upper body strength, even looking at the concept art how do you come to the conclusion that you'd have a female Qunari who was Big Bertha? Even the male qunari isn't a big as say Iron Bull, so for all we know it's just that the female Qunari typical body in inquisition isn't overly fit/built, or its the typical or average body of a female qunari.

Wait maybe im saying it wrong, the female Qunari biologically are bigger than normal human females so they are likely stronger. In their society they are everything but soldiers, so they aren't weak per say as they are builders and craftsman so they can be strong, but that doesn't necessarily mean they have huge muscles and look like female bodybuilders.

The Qunari males are easily more that twice as bulky and muscular as the male humans and nearly as big as IB. I had hoped the female Qunari would match that ratio and be more than twice as bulky and muscular as a female human but she's not anywhere close to that. It looks like they just made her slightly chubbier and with a slightly smaller bust proportion-wise.

Besides, it's a fantasy game, why couldn't I have had a big Bertha if males got to have a giant beef mountain character? :(

The concept art was horrible. It was a slim and tall human with cute dainty halloween horns. I'd say what we got in game was actually a substantial upgrade. She has a very large overall frame (which is more imposing than bulging muscles on a small frame) and retains some of the trollish appearance of the male qunari's face.

I think it's impressive given that the norm is this:

They're a different species, they could easily make them larger than the males without delving into fantasy. It's hilarious how every alien in the mass effect universe have the exact same dimorphism as us right down to their voice. But I think to do so on the Qunari would be straying too far from what's already established.

Spoiler

The problem is that the qunari seem to be the only ones with extreme cases of sexual dimorphism.

Winch is a thing that I hate in general since it is deeply connect is gender stereotypes. It makes no sense to make all the races close to its male counterpart and than comes the qunari and you notice a huge difference. They should at least be more buff than male humans, it makes no sense otherwise.

Also I still do not know how the female dwarf is fairing, since it is kind difficult to see, I will reserve my judgement for the game. In the end is all about having options, if I want to play a male more slim, you can chose elven but if I want to play a female more buff, there is nothing.

Well, Rasaan was about as buff as a human female so I'm not surprised the Qunquisitor is. At least they are consistent.

The reason it bugs me, personally, is that Rasaan was a priestess, so her non-buffness was acceptable.

A female Qunquisitor was a mercenary. Maybe mages wouldn't have bulging biceps, but I'd expect a warrior or rogue to be better muscled.

Honestly, I'm not sure what bothers me more - the female qunari or elves. Female elves look so noodly! :D

I said my point. The Female Qunari Inquisitor is around the same musculature as the Female Qunari we've seen.

As for the hair, I agree there should have been longer hair for the Qunari.

Armor and weapons don't weigh nearly as much as people think, so I'm not surprised they are the musculature they are. I'm more surprised the Qunari Males are as beefy as they are despite those facts, especially since they don't even wear armor apart from shoulder pads.

I had thought Iron Bull would be an extreme case and that male Qunari PCs would be like the ones from DA2. Their more beefed up appearance was surprising to me.

Yeah. I actually thought that the DA2 Qunari would be the beefiest they'd be or maybe even slightly slimmer since unlike the Qun Qunari, the Qunari Inquisitor probably hasn't been raised for combat since childhood, or at least to the extent the Qun does.
