As one of our advisers, she's likely to show up given the circumstances. It sucks, but there isn't squat to be done about it. Try not to let it bother you too much, if you can. <hugs>

Ryzaki, all I heard in my head when I just saw your post was Rose talking about Titanic (with a few alterations, of course): "It was the ship party of dreams to everyone else...Outwardly Inwardly, I was everything a well brought up girl should be. Inside Outside, I was screaming sobbing."

Curse me being out of likes!
Now I want sad music to play when the quizzy goes running to her closet to see her outfit for the ball.

Its gotten to the point where I'm trying to see which playthrough I want to sacrifice and play before we get the ever hopeful DLC for better casual and ball outfits.
Which poor Inquisitor do I want to throw to the fire of horrible fashion.

lmao ditto. I totally ran out of likes too. What's with that anyway? How does one "run out of likes?" ![]()
Not only do I want sad music to play, but I want it to be played on the world's smallest violin for comedic effect. Gotta have some way to lighten the mood. ![]()

One must also consider the fact that one of the achivements is to gain the full approval of the Orlaisian court. To do something like that you would need to come in something awesome, something people remember. Why not way an elegant, stylish yet simple dress. Nothing ostentatious, but something more elegant.
It must be said, I don't think it is that great on men either. I am also thinking of doing a post on historical fashion of this general time period that Fereldan, Orlais, and the free marches are inspired by. Not sure if anyone would be interested in such a post ![]()

Man, if Morrigan shows up at that ball in her fancy ballgown and I'm stuck as the discount nutcracker prince I'm gonna throw a bitchfit.
Which one's that?

ETA: After posting I realised you might have meant which ball rather than which ball gown if so we don't know much about Morrigan's role in DAI only that she's getting a fab gown and we aren't.

Probably all of them because if we actually got a hair/clothing DLC I would be shocked
I think anyone's only hope is to play on PC and hope that modders can do the apparently impossible task.

my Kossith/Elf male mage Inquisitor will wear something like Tevinter of Dalish clothes<armor and weapons...and he will execute any who would even try to make him wear some Orlais, Starheven of Antivan ones
but first i need to understand why should i care a bit about some sh*tty Orlais Empire nobles and their ball?
i rather burn or execute all of them there..especially Celine with Gaspard and Orlais priests with templars if they would be there
It would be the same as Hawke in orlais nobles party ![]()

Avoiding the game seems like the very thing that would leave you at it's mercy.
Not if you can just kill anyone and everyone who tries to assassinate you.

I have no time for Orlesian crap anyway. Which is what I think the point of the uniform is; it does stand out and marks you as someone who's outside and above the sea of poisoned urine that is Orlesian high society, while at the same time not being actual combat armor, which is probably actually against the rules.
And if my assessment of the game's segments is correct, this is the second chapter, after the Inquisition is already a force to be reckoned with. And I doubt any but the most shortsighted nobles would try to ensnare the Inquisitor in a situation that might be the end of the world.

Uh huh. Those Orlesians that have something you need or want otherwise the PC wouldn't be there. If you have no time for Orlesian crap as you say then why go to the ball at all?
Yes clearly it's wiser to get as little help as possible and as few allies too. It's not like it could at all be beneficial to gain as many as you can. And throwing your weight around unnecessary is the quickest way to lose influence and gain enemies (and have your enemies band together no less). True no one (no one sane anyway) is going to attempt to kill you while the rift still needs to be closed (those attempting will be small fry most likely unless they're working with the antagonist). It will however be closed by the end of the game however.
And somehow I don't think insulting the nobility will have them lending you their aid afterwards (after the rift is closed obviously) especially not after they manage to build their powerbases back up.

They're closer than Nevarra.

Where did you get the idea that I was going to insult them? I'm just not playing their toxic sport. I don't think participation is even mandatory for visitors.
