Ball Uniform?

It seems like there is a lot of extranous fluff and stuff in the game, but unfortunately for me, at least some of the fluff is not to my liking. It would have been fun if they had done some fan polls about fluff preferences...

The producers of the game certainly have the right to invest resources how they see fit, but I do agree that I would rather have a choice about clothing than a choice of a bunch of different mounts or the type of curtains I hang.

Somedays I wonder if maybe the producers got AngryJoe's glowing review of Skyrim burnt into their radars, and it kind of skewed the project in a certain direction - for now anyway.
AngryJoe loved the Skyrim home customization and watching his reviews he sure loves new cool items to interact with.
Ball Uniforms - LMAO - not so much.
Maybe we can show Bioware over time who makes up a growing passionate fanbase.
Then maybe we'll get more femquisitor-centred trailer exposure as well.
Ah well, just a hope!

And I don't appreciate being forced to wear a frumpy, unflattering, nutcracker outfit for this extremely rare opulent and frivolous occasion. We wear practical armor for at least 90% of the rest of the game
Agreed. I just want to wear lovely gowns and dance all night.
The others can have an option to say "I'm bloody well wearing pants!" and get the soldier's uniform (which could be so much more charming and elegant than this...)

As for the pants-wearers... Fetching, yes?

@CaptivatingKS Third one is especially gorgeous!
Though I'd need a sleek catsuit underneath in case trouble showed up, for a real fast switch.

I picked it because I loved the train; I thought the opulence was perfect for Orlais.
Lol, my inquisitor would have no problem stripping and running after her target barefoot and in her underwear with only her blades.

Yes I'll take the top one there for my Tabatha Cadash and the bottom one for my Valeria Cadash pretty please.

It would work nicely for women as well. I'm going to reword my post!
My Acantha would wear the first dress I posted, very buttoned up and serious but still lovely and demure.
My Eavan would wear this and revel in her scandalous nature.

Where do you keep finding all these pics? You have amazing taste, you know that?
I'd love to create an elf rogue inquisitor and have her wear that. I also loved the other outfit and dresses from the other post.

I think that train is so orlesian too.
Though I'd probably love a blend of that dress and the green scandalous one you just posted.
As for the 2nd part, that would make a great digart cartoon sketch. Saucy and fun!

Honestly, I'm google sorting. I choose the type of outfit I want and the time period.
The above were... civil war evening gowns and then the doublet was renaissance italy, and this newest was actually a fluke. I couldn't remember which era My Fair Lady was supposed to be, so I searched My Fair Lady gown replicas and colour sorted by green.

awesome dress pictures!
do you guys have any examples of something that isn't a dress that you would have also liked, if a uniform-esque thing was required?* (just to get ideas out. i know they said they had trouble animating a dress, presumably because we may have to fight in said outfit.)
all i can find is either steampunk or pirate queen.
ex:
minus the hats. but the hats are snazzy, so.
i mainly play dudes, and i think the outfit now will look fiiiinnnee (read that in a
tone, not a sarcastic one : p) on the men i have planned, but when i DO play girls i love making them feminine badasses.
*don't stop posting awesome dresses on my account! just wondering if anyone had any examples they liked for a uniform/pant.
** also, feel free to criticize my lack in fashion sense. ; o
and another big thank you for keeping it respectful, everyone!

I'd post pics too, only I don't know exactly what to search for or how to post a pic in the first place.
I actually found some dresses I like. Darn it all. What areas and time periods are Ferelden and Orlais even based on exactly? I mean, Orlais is clearly based on France, but from what time period? I wanna post some pwetties but wish to try to be accurate.

I think if I could choose something for my Inquisitor to wear but keep it in the general spirit of what they have designed for us already, I might go with this:![]()

Spoiler
diggin that steam punk. Change the colors up, might make a good ball uniform for a female.
Hold up... the reason we don't get dresses is because of animation if having to fight? But mages can go around fighting in robes? *raises eyebrow* Anyway... back to the topic at hand...
I was also thinking of a high-low gown (thought it a practical dress in case you have to chase someone down. less chance of tripping on your dress and falling on your face
) But I can't find one that would fit the era. will continue looking. And see if I can find something like the above

Okay, women in uniform for Sir Andir. I apologize for the lack of pants or full body shots, most of these would have been paired with skirts.
But they can easily fit with a nice pair of breeches or trousers such as these:

Now onto the loveliness:

And the last is very plain for our Inquisitors who wish to match the wallpaper.

Just post what you think would fit! Doesn't have to be accurate, we're just tossing about ideas.
Now onto posting pictures: copy the link to your photo, look for the little icon in the posting toolbar that looks like a photo, and paste in your link. Tada!
