I have some health problems with my right hand (especially fingers) so spamming auto attack will be painful for me sometimes.
Biggest Gameplay Feature that You'll have to get Used to?

The stupid and utterly pointless eight ability limit. (I remember playing DAO until i figured out that the bar was expandable - it was a nightmare).
Being forced to do crafting to get good stat allocation.
Not being able to do everything in an area when i arrive, which will likely lead to me forgetting stuff.
Auto attack not being auto attack.
Respawning enemies.
Healing the jury's out, I always hoarded health potion in previous DA's anyway - but it looks like combat difficulty could be turned up to ten, even in dev videos they get absolutely murdered.
Lack of console commands.

For me its tactical mode. I haven't a head for tactics and prefer the "run-in-and-sling-spells-wildly-until-everything-stops-moving" strategy. If the game is as hard as they say its going to be, then I'm going to have to learn to use this feature.

Agreed with the not being able to clear out areas bit. I love clearing out areas in games, which makes the fact that for the most part enemies will respawn now a bit frustrating. I will keep killing them until they stop giving me XP though, so it'd be the equivalent of clearing them out, I guess ![]()
The other feature I'll have to get used to is not being able to assign my attribute points. It's my favorite part of RPGs, and I'm so sad most games have eliminated that part of the RPG experience. I was happy for DA because DAO and DA2 both had attribute points you could assign, and I'm really sad the choice is suddenly removed from the game (yes I know that certain abilities grant points, but it's not the same).

Tactical cam is actually a godsend but some people don't/won't realize it yet. I am playing through DA:O and Awakenings right now and I've had a couple of bad boss fights where I lost just charging in the first time. Replay the fight, pause, go overhead and look for better positioning and order the party to take advantage of terrain and spots that benefit their abilities and I would often win the rematch. I then just started using it at the beginning of every fight. I'd spent the summer playing Divinity: Original Sin and that relies on a top down approach. Believe me, you will come to love being able to zoom out and look at the entire battle map, see your enemies weaknesses listed, and then plot your parties attack. It's something you will come to love quickly.
Ok so what will I need to get used to? Healing. I've relied in Origins on Wynne as a party combat healer and that allowed Morrigan to be the damager (which suits her so much better anyway) and I will miss being able to run back to Wynne to get healed up. I'll have to see how this "barrier" thing works and I imagine it will take some getting used to (i.e. using it effectively).

I try to keep an open mind about features I haven't seen firsthand yet, but the 8-ability limit is a concern. I like having lots of different options to suit lots of different situations, and 8 seems like very, very few.

I'm afraid I'll forget about some stuff I've had to pass over and will end up missing out on experiences.
Given that enemies found in Inquisition don't scale to match your level, it would have been nice for Bioware to include a mechanic to aid Inquisitors memory of what had been passed up due to this actuality.
In DA2 lots of quests began life as Rumors that could't be acted upon "at this time" so something like that, would have been great. Maybe, "In Case, You've Forgotten?"

What is this "no auto attack" thing? Is auto attack gone?

Though I'll get used to it fast enough.

healing spam switched with meele attack spam... that`s the problem.
I used to be a healer in quite few MMOs and anlo had a chance to make few healing setups around DA game and now I am forced into do mage that I don`t like, because it was told to me that being or wanting to have a heal in group is lame.

No auto attack doesn't bother me. I play ToR so the mechanics are not that much different. Though i will admit, ToR took some getting used to after years of Everquest, WoW and DA:O/DAII
I'm pretty familiar with CC, so that's not an issue, but doing 'barrier' instead of heals is going to be hard for me to adjust to. Hopefully, I will get the hang of it quickly enough. Playing on Easy should help since it affords a higher percentage of health recovery (50%) out of combat.

New mitigation > heal mechanic = awesome
The mysteries and anticipation of revisiting zones for content = awesome
New crafting system = awesome
Here is my beef though... super crafting system = check. But only 2 armor pieces to customize? What? This will aggravate me ![]()

I don't think that I will need to get used to gameplay features in DAI. I will need to get used to lack of gameplay features.
Although on second thought... I guess that running for hours after crafting resources because I want to customize my character's stats is going to infuriate me as a reminder of MMO farming, but it still counts as a lack of gameplay feature.
Unless farming resources is a gameplay feature?
Damn.,.. I just realized something. This game is very likely to enrage me with all those limitations, I mean swapping abilites before every fight from mid to late game? Farming for crafting? Backtracking for healing pots?
Is that the point of those limitations? To annoy the player?

For me the following things will take some getting used to:
1. The healing system, like several other players I am paranoid about keeping my mages at full health. It might be harder with this system;
2. The no level scaling, I have a tendency to go exploring areas that look interesting. I think that running it to some encounters that are way to powerful for my party will quickly cure me of that tendency; and
3. Not seeing the same house/dungeon over and over again. Having areas with new designs will take some getting used to. ![]()

the 8 ability limit on PC.........so much more limited, and so very obviously picked because of its parity with consoles.
I don't get why people keep blaming consoles for this one. When playing DA:O and DA:2 I selected all my large number of skills using the radial menu and it worked fine.
I get the gameplay reasons for this (i.e. to centre players on a few skills) however I think it will be a challenge when I level up moving through skill trees trying to get as many passives as possible while minimizing the number of special move abilities. I can see myself paying for the re-skill potion on higher levels for this purpose.

The lack of auto-attack, on PC. I have zero clue as to what could have possibly motivated Laidlaw and co. to consciously remove this feature, especially after the generally negative reaction to it back in DA2. And that was only on consoles. Which was later patched in (and called a "bug". How convenient. Just like how exploding bodies was a "bug"). Even the option for a toggle is not up for consideration.
Add in the 8-ability limit, refusal to remove weapon restrictions, auto-leveling, a crafting system that is more or less "forced" upon us, and I get the distinct impression that the developers are so intent on us playing the game the way they want us to play, that there can be absolutely no compromises. You know, like giving players options. ABSOLUTELY NOT.
The story and characters better not disappoint.

I hate to be on the echo train but definitely the lack of healing spells and limited use of potions. I like to take a dedicated healer with me on the journey, and more often than not that's the purpose of me bringing a mage along (other than crowd control).

It's certainly going to have to be the barriers and not having healing spells (also limited potions), but I look forward to learning the new system.

auto attack (I guess lol) tactical cam for my console, no healing spells....................

There are several that I'll have to get used to, however I don't imagine any of them will take long.
Managing the party's health during battle, returning to camp after each tough fight, pausing more than ever during combat, using tactical camera (never had it before because I play on console), avoiding dungeons and enemies that outlevel me and remembering to come back to them later, learning the crafting system, and I'm sure there are many more things. All will take a little time to get used to but I'm sure I'll be an expert before I finish my first playthrough.
I'm not concerned by the no auto-attack outside tactical cam. I had auto-attack turned on in DA 2 and found myself tapping the 'A' button anyway, and I would mash the attack button in DA:O as well even though it didn't do anything but make my character repeat "very well", "I will do it", and "It will be done" a hundred times in a single battle. Maybe since I play on console, I'm more used mashing buttons repeatedly in order to attack.
Usually, with a large open world game like this, I feel overwhelmed by the amount of material and all the different things I have to learn. I need to make sure that I take my time in this game when a new feature presents itself so that I can understand how to take full advantage of it. Like when crafting is introduced for the first time during my first playthrough. I plan to stop what I'm doing and figure out exactly how it works before I move on to anything else.
This is my response also. Especially the part I bolded. Had me cracking up thinking of this.
