Legion is sentient too. And it is the most obvious romance option for the Zombie Cyborg Shepard.

I don't know what you intended to express there.

Can somebody tell me the confirmed romances for male and female shepard? Samara was featured in that relationship video in the love interest section, so I thought she was a romance.

Okay, Garrus is a romance option. So, what? If you aren't interested in it, you can very easily ignore it. People start whining about too little romance options, now people are whining about too many? And look up your definition of bestiality, having sex with Garrus isn't it.
Idiotic thread is idiotic. Seriously, why are people honestly going 'Tali and Garrus shouldn't be love interests'. Okay, but how does this remotely affect you if you aren't feeling it? Does the idea of somewhere in the coding of ME2, there is a potential to develop romances between them that frightening? And how is this any different from having the asari romance option? Why weren't people b'awwing about that?

I THINK GARRUS IS THE SECOND SEXIEST ALIEN IN MASS EFFECT, OTHER THAN KROGANS.
MMM-MMM, I LOVE MY FREAKY ALIEN SEX.

On a more realistic side, I don't see what's so wrong. It's 'love'. Looks shouldn't matter, and if you're playing as a female Shepard and your favorite character happens to be Garrus, get into a relationship. If you don't like Garrus, then don't.

I want an Enkindler relationship...

Rutting with a bird/raptor alien = fine.
Consensual homosexual relations = not fine.

Why is that, Bioware?

ah hem....Amen. +1.

anddd I would take up a Garrus/male shep rp any time. He has a great personality, which makes him cute...regardless of that creepy-mouth-thing he's got going.

Ignore it?  Are you kidding?  I'm way too curious to see how this pans out.

The church can't condemn somebody for sex with an alien, because aliens don't exist. And they seem to want to earn more G$ than MF2.

Lol, "aliens don't exist"

A Prothean romance option would be great if you could dress female Shepard up as a Japanese school girl.

Those face tentacles are hot.

Also, I thought you (Borschtbeet) weren't going to play following the spoiler attack. If the game's been personally ruined for you, why complain about a game that you won't enjoy?
And, wait... Thane? This is confusing.

Wait, you're confusing me now. You're complaining about it potentially going too far... except... uh... okay then. Sure.

Yeah, forgot to mention them.
You can continue love interests with the love interests from the last game even though they can't join your party.

Better have great conversations with them.

Do they stay on the ship? Or do you have to visit them on some lonely planet in some cage where you put them so they never run away from you?

I don't know.  I haven't played the game.  I wouldn't underestimate the ability for a character to be well developed though just because they're not a squadmate.

Captain Anderson was a great character from Mass Effect 1.  Even though he wasn't a squadmate he felt like a major character.

While I don't get Garrus as a romance option.

I don't get "Thane" personally and wonder why he wasn't an option.

I do think people are being incredibly shallow about Samara though. What makes her romancable other than the fact she's attractive?

Relations with ME LI's = not fine either at least in ME2.

I'm not interested in lizard man or fish boy either and the Cerberus employee can be left at the gate.

Well for one, we know what Asari biology allows them to easily have sex with humans.

Well looks like you're going to be pretty lonely in your cabin on the SR2 Normandy.

Never in my wildest dreams could I have ever imagined Garrus becoming a romance option.
Turians are probably the least human looking of all humanoid sentient aliens in Mass Effect.  Romancing one comes across as borderline bestiality.

Seriously, what is next?  Is Legion going to be a romance option too?

Well, it certainly is interspecies sex. That is also the case with Liara T'Soni. The difference here is that their species is apparently evolutionary dependent on interspecies sex.

The only comparison of interspecies sex I can think of involving humans, was breeding with Neanderthals. It was a completely different species, but apparently close enough for offspring. Aliens are not in any way genetically similar to humans however, so it's not the best of comparisons.

The main difference from bestiality is obviously that it is sex between two sentient beings with their consent. I can't see that being illegal, as a sentient being, if part of a free society, is free to make their own choices as to whom they wish to have sex with. (As long as the partner gives his/her/its consent) (No, animals cannot talk, and bestiality will never, EVER be acceptable, so if anyone is having such a fetish I recommend medication and treatment to suppress that urge)

So it serves no natural purpose, except for the Asari, since there will be no offspring. But that's not really a problem. Hardly any person have sex with the intention to have offspring, and if so it has been (hopefully) planned for in advance.

So, it's not wrong. It serves no evolutionary purpose, but we're not slaves of nature, thankfully. Some may argue that it is wrong because of their opinions on what they think is right, but they're just the usual hate-mongers that you already find attacking homosexuality and interracial sex. If both the human and the alien is in to some kinky alien sex (remember, it's going to be as strange for the alien as it is going to be for the human), then there's no reason why they shouldn't be able to enjoy each others company. While it may be hard to have said sex because of physical differences, I'm sure there's always a way.

Sex with a robot? Why not. Humanity is most CERTAINLY going to copulate with robots before aliens. Actually you can do so already now! You can buy robots that you can have sex with. Can't remember the name of the latest one. But it's apparently able to do a few things, and have some rudimentary artificial intelligence so it can respond to its owner during intercourse. Uncomfortable about this? Don't worry, you're not getting forced to have sex with it. (It looks horrible anyway - it is the creation of old horny men)

I approve of sex with aliens. But I don't think it should be common. A Turian should not be aroused by a naked human, no more than we should be aroused by a naked Turian. If you're aroused, that's a fetish you are having, not a natural evolutionary function. It's all right though - fetishes are nice, and who want to do what mother nature says anyway? (No I mean it - nature should be treated nice, but I do not believe evolution has anything to say about humans any more, only we as individuals have)
