They own the battlefield like dinosaurs with cute faces. I also lover their extremely deep voices. I love how Bioware have kept them as the guys you don't want to seeon the battlefield since ME1.
Am I the only guy who thinks Krogans are kind of cute?

Gameplay-Story inconsistency ruined Krogan for me. They're worthless in combat, they can only talk about how cool they are.

The baby krogan might be kinda cute. I don't know. I've seen fan images of baby krogan and they look alright. Though thats fan art - no idea what they really look like in the lore. The cutscene wasn't exactly the most descriptive of images.
My wife thought Grunt was cute, though, for what its worth. He was a baby krogan in her eyes. There are a few things Grunt does off-camera that are kinda cute. Like searching for T-Rex, sharks and playing with action figures. Though just because some of the things he does are cute that doesn't necessarily make him cute, to me. So. I don't know. I suppose in order for me to consider someone cute it has to be in a general sense and not based on just one instance. I don't find krogan cute. No offense to any krogan lovers out there. Cute is very subjective.
Also, I agree with Stormwreaver that the inconsistency gets pretty bad. In cutscenes we've seen krogan get taken down sometimes with just one shot from a pistol (might had been an SMG, though, can't remember). Cutscene krogan are pretty damn weak. In the animated movie however a krogan is seen surviving getting shot in the head and everything else. Its like they can't make up their mind if krogan are these unstoppable killing machines that soak up bullets or just big angry frogs that drop over after a few pistol shots. Maintain consistency, damnit.

They're adorable
My favorite alien race
,with the turians being second. Love their barbarian ways, love playing as them. James was my replacement for Wrex, and Grunt in Mass Effect 3. I wish we had one named after a famous barbarian
in the third game or the next one.

Really? I don't know about cutscenes but when I see them, that's stress lol because they will push you back. There not as bad in Mass Effect 3. Wait, you don't even fight them in ME3. How tall do you think a Krogan is?

Cute? Only in the sights of a major sniper rifle? Hope you saved the Geth from extinction in Mass Effect 3 else in ME4 the only racial choice you are going to get is one of those as the rest of the other galactic species would have been wiped out or enslaved. I'd only call them cute if I wanted to get cosy - I guess the Asari could manage to survive though

It depends on where you cut off the height. Their humps add quite a bit, though some of that might be from the armor. I actually suspect Wrex is shorter than Shepard if we base it head-to-toe. I noticed in my playthroughs when my Shepard was close to him Wrex's eye level was lower than Shepards. You'd have to hunch over to be eye-level, I think. Though it could had just been the camera placement in the cutscenes. Was anyone elses experience the same?
The krogan in the game that you fight against can be pretty tough, yes. There are still inconsistencies though. Wrex, for example, is brought into a weak dying mess, barely able to lift his shotgun, by being shot four times by a C-Sec pistol. Kolyat downed a krogan bodyguard with a single shot of a pistol. Garrus and Shepard down two krogan bodyguards during Garrus' loyalty mission with casual ease. Krogan are getting taken out by a few husks. There is no 'bloodrage' or anything, these krogan just fall over dead because its convenient for the story.
The gameplay is about the only thing that actually tries to honor the lore about the krogan, since the enemy krogan are usually fairly tough. The one's in multiplayer were especially tanky. Still the krogan in the lore seem to be a lot tougher than what we see even in gameplay - unless if you play the game on insanity and use that as a bases. Though I suppose the same could be said for the husks as well.
It's actually kind of funny because they have the opposite problem than Jack. Jack is uber powerful and this biotic god in the cutscenes, just wrecking everything. Yet in the gameplay shes nerfed. The krogan are tough in combat yet nerfed in cutscenes. Point was though that the krogan are handled with very little consistency in the trilogy.

I always thought they were around 6ft and above. The Asari are also ininconsistent. Samara and Liara have so much power in their cutscenes but when you actually play the games you think, why aren't these two wrecking everyone in the room?

Not so much adult krogan, but lil widdle hatchlings like Grunt can be pretty cuddly-looking because of their rounder heads and noses.

It's possible that Shepard is just tall. Or that the camera angles play tricks on us. Or maybe they measure from hump-to-foot. I was specifically referring to eye-level. Their large crests and humps add a lot to their height. Though in a lot of cutscenes it did seem that Wrex had to look at my Shepard. Again, this could just be the camera angles and positions. I'll keep a closer eye next time I play.
Also, notice the eye level in these images:

Took this months ago, but... BIG HUGS! Shep is supposed to be a bit farther from Grunt, but movin' closer wouldn't hurt.

Aaaaw little baby Grunt. He was so grumpy when he first left the tank like a grumpy baby waking up from a long sleep.
