No, because "POC" is not synonymous with black people. OP is specifically asking for kinky/afro-textured hair.

I think part of this can be a simple oversight because of a lack of exposure.

Many Americans think Canada is pretty much the same as the US, and its not. Canada is a country filled with minorities but we don't have a large "Black" population. In 2011 there were less than a million black people in Canada. 3% of the population is Black and most live in either Toronto or Montreal which is on the other side of the country to Edmonton. In the province of alberta there are less than 75,000 black people. Some USA cities are going to have more black people in it than there are black people in all of Canada.

This means that the developers in Edmonton Alberta Canada are going to be exposed to very little in terms of simple things like what hair styles do black people have today. Waht are the styles most common? Sure there is exposure in the media but thats not the same. About one in four canadians are a visible minority but most are from east asia, south asia or aboriginal peoples. I could not tell you much at all about "black culture" either because I am just not exposed to it. But i can tell you about Chinese or Indian (south asian) culture because I am exposed to it.

I support 100% Bioware making their games more representative of the world we live in but i just want to to provide context to the cultural and demographical background this game was made in. In any US city you could find a hairdresser who specialises in black hair if you need to do research, with ease but its not quite that easy to do in Edmonton.

That said hopefully they become aware of this for future games and/or patches.

Why would you want Afros that look like something out of old sitcoms or a hairstyle Nicki Minaj has?Honestly. It just don't fit.If this a was comedy games like saints row, sure, why the hell not but a Dragon Age.They should have added more but take what you can get.I would haved killed to get an actual buzz cut in Dragon Age Origins or regular short hair(CGI Warden). At least they got skin tones right,am I right?

I ran out of likes due to another thread, so I'll add my written support to this as well. I would love to see some short twists or locks in the CC and flowing dreads for qunari, since they don't wear helmets. Maybe we'll get them when we get a Gay KISA* in the future...
