Bioware has done long hair before, and well....yeah

 

 

Considering that your character has a rampaging case of the 'dark side cooties', she has bigger problems than clipping hair.  And yea, I never use this style since the texture looks fake (like pudding dripped over her head and allowed to fall).  I usually use the short bob or more elaborate updo with the 40's look.

 

Trying to figure out her class.  The name suggests smuggler/IA, but the outfit is sith-y looking. And the dialogue suggests she's a Bounty Hunter?

Tons of games have clipping issues with long hair, it comes with the territory. But it's barely noticeable. Really who cares if there's hair clipping.

It is not that the hair is short that is the problem.

It is that they are extremely bland similiar low poly,low texture models and the contrast between the very well made head models make it stick it even more.

 

When many other games in various genres can deliver good hair it is not unreasonable to expect this from BioWare aswell.

 

And for 2014 AAA RPG  which emphasises heavily on character customization they are not up to standard.

I'm glad I'm not alone on this. Yes most of thoes hairstyles just plain suck! IT is almost 2015 and they fail yet again at making proper feminine hair.

Actually you're wrong. The story is about the Inquisitor, and part of his/her goal is to close the breach and stop the Elder One.
If the story was entirely about the Elder One, the camera would hover over his shoulder the entire game. But it doesn't.
Instead, we have to spend 100+ hours staring at the back of the Inquisitor's head and most of the hairstyles are mediocre at best. And the female Qunari ones are the worst.

Ya ive seen a couple atrocious ones. I did see at least one that I like so it really doesn't bother me much. Except for the qunari, all their hairs are ****.

 

 

Side note: playing Shadow of Mordor. all the generic humans(all males btw) are just bald, lol.

My guess is Trooper Commando, considering both the "move out" and the assault cannon strapped to her shoulder aka the worst part about leveling a Commando. /end off-topic

I feel bad for players who wanted not a mohawk or whatever the **** that mudbun is supposed to be as a style.

Why choose this to be nitpicky about and the game isn't even out yet? Complaining about the hair completely belittles the developers and the years of work they've put into letting you fight dragons and ride hallas and all of the other epic stuff you'll be able to do in-game. Wear a helmet and focus on slaying demons instead.

There wouldn't be another Inquisition without the PC rising up and acting as the Inquisitor, as evidenced by the line "whatever we were before, we are now the Inquisition." So, again, the story is about the Inquisitor. And it's definitely a personal story: the Inquisitor has a unqiue background, the ability to form friendships/rivalries with companions, and the option to pursue romances. Those are all personal elements. Sure, the scope and scale of this story is more grandiose than that of Hawke's, but, from a writer's perspective, this is undeniably a story about the Inquisitor. He/she leads the Inquisition with the goal of restoring order and closing the breach.

Anyway, this is off-topic, largely irrelevant and not really worth arguing about.

Regarding the hair choices: there are only a couple that I can see myself tolerating.
At this point, I can only hope for a DLC with more hairstyles.

I'm happy with what the qunari has, it makes sense considering hope we have alot of horn options and some horns might not work with certain hair. Thus qunari gets litle hair options and big horn selection. You can't have both.

You know, I didn't notice the assault cannon...looked like part of the backdrop for me, but yea, I see it now.

OP, that hairstyle that you hate so much (the one with the sides and back shaved with longer hair up top) is the best hairstyle in the game.

 

It looks particularly dashing and badass on a male character.

Your know you're right I'm worried about the quality of the actual game mechanics and the open-world. But I also think if it bothers you so much then you should mod it not demand free DLC and ignore the work that went into everything else. I'm a customer as well and it is absolutely true I'd rather have a smooth fight with a monster or watch a giant fight a dragon than have time spent on better hair.

It's just bad hair, I can live with it but I would like it to be fixed.
