You guys complain about long hair, short hair, no hair, my hair, your hair, everyone's hair.
Dear God, what is with the obsession?
It's like listening to my students comment obsessively as to why I won't grow a fro.

Your know you're right I'm worried about the quality of the actual game mechanics and the open-world. But I also think if it bothers you so much then you should mod it not demand free DLC and ignore the work that went into everything else. I'm a customer as well and it is absolutely true I'd rather have a smooth fight with a monster or watch a giant fight a dragon than have time spent on better hair.
I Would mod it if i could but there are no modtools there wont be either and if someone manages to bypass that it will take atleast a year.
I have never asked for free DLC in fact i would buy it as Day1 DLC if i could even if i hate DLC of that kind because hair is important to me.
Haha i am a bit shallow ![]()
And i am worried about the game mechanics aswell but the people working on game mechanics do not tend to model hair.
I like hair and feel like other aspects of the game have gotten far too much favor over it.
Like redesigning skyhold's layout 3 times, having 30 mounts, and constantly tweaking NPC appearances.
The contrast with the high res faces and bad hair gives me shudders.
I would also buy DLC but some hairs should be free DLC too.
And I'm sure gameplay fluidity is no problem because the multiplayer team designed/fine-tuned combat
I'm happy with what the qunari has, it makes sense considering hope we have alot of horn options and some horns might not work with certain hair. Thus qunari gets litle hair options and big horn selection. You can't have both.
Nonsense. The horns all taper back away from the head in the same way. It wouldn't be difficult to design hairstyles that look good and aren't voluminous enough to get in the way of the ends of the various horn styles. It would just take time and money, which is, I suspect, the main factor in all of this.

Normally I would agree, but considering its a feature you see the whole game? It becomes a bigger deal. Now sure you can throw a helmet on, and call it a day. But a lot of people like rolling with the hide helmet feature, and..... yeah.

I feel bad for players who wanted not a mohawk or whatever the **** that mudbun is supposed to be as a style.
Everytime I hear mudbun I go into a giggle fit
it's just so bad.
Demanding free DLC because you don't like the hairstyles is, I think, incredibly childish. Your $50-$200 is going to a fully realized game/extras that includes a massive amount of content and customization. Just because BW did not prioritize the thing you think they should have prioritized does not entitle you to more of what you want for free. If the team decides to add more hairs once they have the time to do so, they deserve to be compensated for their work, fullstop.
The hair textures don't live up to quality of skin textures for example so it's little off-putting but I think the options for other races than qunari are pretty good. There is some long hairstyles and all styles are for both genders which is plus to me. I don't understand need for 7 or so shaven styles, just two would have been enough ![]()
Qunari in other hand.. their hair is less voluminous and has poorer texture which makes them look awful. There is not much option and qunari can't even wear helmet.

And they are. By Bioware. It's not like the artist work for free. The decision about paid vs. free DLC is about ROI and the returns to the shareholders, not strictly speaking about paying staff for their time (though obs. that's where the cost comes form in the ROI calculation).

I'd take less horn options if we got more hair. We shouldn't have to though, the main problem people have with the qunari hairs is that they're just bad, there are good short hairstyles, the qunari just didn't get any of them.

Hair is a very noticeable feature on a character and a big point of customization. A change in hairstyle can make someone look very different.
They could at least re-texture some of them for free.
I'd pay for any DLC if they at least did that to appease those of us who are less than pleased with current hair options. (Qunari)

They could have been doing that since the first CC livestream
It kind of reminds me of the haircuts of the Seanchan in the Wheel of Time novels.

well, it'd be a good start.

Completely agree.
While I don't like every one of the styles they've shown, I think at least three of the male ones looked good. Admittedly, I'm not a guy and pretty much won't be using them, but they don't all suck. As far as the female hairstyles go, I haven't seen all that many examples (just a few to date), but I expect that if I thought three of the male ones looked decent, then there are probably at least a couple of female hairstyles that I can live with when I create my femquisitor.
As a female, sure, I'd prefer to have some longer hair options, but I actually liked femHawke's short hair and was reasonably happy with it (despite preferring to have long hair as a general rule). I think it's probably an exaggeration to say that all the hairstyles suck, although I agree with people who say that the hair textures have looked off compared to the detail level/realism of the faces.
At any rate, it would nice if they throw in a free hairstyle DLC or something at some point if possible (I certainly wouldn't pay for hairstyles unless they're all supermodel fabulous or something).
Bioware has done long hair before, and well....yeah
Clipping doesn't really bother me. I'd rather have the possibility to choose long hair and get clipping problems with that choice, than to only have short hairstyles to choose from.
With that said, I'm adopting the wait-and-see approach. It's possible that there are remaining hair styles that we haven't seen yet that look good. I also think that a couple of the available hair styles will still work for my Inquisitor. But I do agree that there seems to be a texture problem overall with the hair styles.
It would be nice if somebody found a way to mod Frostbite, though. It looks like the game will be awesome, but it would have been nice to be able to tweak some little things like outfits and hair.
And so you somehow know that this hairstyle is abundant in the game. Somehow. How exactly?
LOL. It's a bad sign that we're finding Solas' hairstyle to be the best in the game. /gallows humorI can definitely see now why Solas decided to rock the bald look...
Bioware Rep: Okay Solas, if you would please select your hair style
Solas: *looks over the hair styles* ..... Maker help us.....
