The relative quantity (not quality) of qunari hairs is due to a prioritization of horn styles over hairstyles. Had they done a full set of horn styles and hairstyles, qunari would have twice as many CC options as any other race and would have "taken" from the overall pool of resources. I would have included the major human/elf/dwarf hair options for hornless qunari, at the very least, but there may have been an issue I'm not seeing WRT head shape or physiology.

Truly the sidebuzz is this generation's mullet. Not one hairstyle and not quite another, in ten years it will be just as widely derided as a terrible idea.

You've inspired me. I now have a new model in mind for my inquisitor. Who better to save Thedas from destruction than MacGyver?!

I might be a little late on this topic, but I live here on Edmonton and  a lot of people has that hairstyle; whether male or female. I somehow agree with you that most hairstyles are bad, but you'll get used to it, I think.

I appreciate that we have a ton of amazing horn options for qunari.  Personally, I would have liked a few extra hair options for qunari, and wouldn't have minded losing out on a few of the horn options that we got in return.  I would have really liked an intricate braid or up-do.  Hopefully I'll be happy with the small bun when I see it for myself in the CC.  :)

I would throw money at my screen for a dlc with a nice selection of soft, wavy, feminine updos.  I like my female PCs to look ladylike & elegant even in armor.  Updos that gently frame the face like Morrigan's or Josephine's are practical and pretty.

I just wish for once they would just put in basic classics instead of all the horrible ones that normally dominate the game.. like....Long hair parted down the middle nothing speical no braids just actual long hair...for men and woman..and a basic ponytail variation. Thats it nothing fancy

I was speaking generally...

Also your own opinions aren't that far from my original post.

The only thing we don't agree on is making the hair seem like a very trivial issue that only a handful of people are upset about. We don't know that for sure, and from the looks of things it seems to be a recurring theme here. The other thing I had an eyebrow raised about that I didn't include in my original post is that you seem to think it is ok to belittle the angry customers, referring to them as childish instead of trying to calm them down and have them be more constructive. In the end it's only going to make them more irritated, if they happen to read through your *large* post in the first place.

Where did I ever say only a handful of people are upset or that it was a trivial issue? Honestly, you seem to read something and completely make up your own comprehension of it. This is about the third time you've commented totally from left field when concerning a post I made. If you wish to have a discussion about a topic, at least use the information provided and not what you imagine someone's post said.

Also, saying someone's behavior is a bit on the childish, isn't belittling them. It's bringing it to their attention. I said the post reads like a spoiled temper tantrum and that the logic of the poster is a bit on the childish. Which it is,imo.

In the end it's only going to make them more irritated, if they happen to read through your *large* post in the first place.

If they don't read it, it's okay with me. If they do, I hope they can at least comprehend it better than some.

Personally, I think it would be nice for everyone to have something they want and I feel for them when their experience is lackluster. Hopefully, somewhere down the line some more styles can be released and I would be happy for those people who got them, as I would for those who got more wardrobe choices or animation styles. However, to expect or demand that Bioware accommodate their wants regardless of time, resource or quality and to act in a manner that suggest Bioware did something wrong or neglectful, is not the way to go about it. In reality, as much as developers want to give us everything we want, they can't and some things will have to be put on the cutting room floor and pushed to the back of the shelf and no amount of foot stomping will change that. Most likely, it will have the opposite result and will be ignored completely.

To be honest, if I may interject, your first comment to the angry customer person did seem a bit inflammatory instead of honestly trying to help... I can't see such an upset person being enlightened that way... but that's just me.

To the bolded part, I don't know why you're asserting this as it seems to be agreeable to what Ser Jynx said in his original comment (which honestly seemed to agree with your post for the most part.)

This...

Compared to this...

Paying customers are entitled to give feedback. It's up to the developers whether or not the want to listen to any of it. Granted the we as the customers could be a bit more calm and constructive but they should still understand that they are simply disappointed and that their words should not fall on deaf ears.

Sounds pretty similar to me.

The only reason I'm respectfully sticking my nose in is this is getting a little silly now - being a little up-in-arms about something that you mostly agree on. We don't need someone jumping on the defensive when not really being attacked, and all the brass petals flying, so...

My original comment wasn't to pacify, enlighten or to calm her. It was simply to share an opinion in a discussion. I found her reply to be juvenile. I expressed that and the reason why I found it to be so.

As for asserting that opinion to Ser Jynx, I wasn't. His opinion, whether it is similar to mine or not, was never in question or up for discussion in regards to the original post. The expression of my stance was always in regards to how he misinterpreted it, which he did several times in his replies. So, if you were confused on that, I hope that clears it up. :)

As for the bold, I couldn't agree more. ;)

Let's leave it at that, shall we? No need to drive it too far off-topic.

I'm not sure how this would look, tbh. Long straight hair doesn't seem to have good flow in most games I have seen. Saints Row 4 had a few long haired styles that I rather liked, but in game, the flow of it always seemed a little stiff. I always wore the braided ponytail in that game and it had pretty good movement to it. Perhaps something like that would be possible.

Also, while I am no expert in programming (seriously, I know little to nothing about it), it seems SR4 and The Sims would be an entirely new box of monkeys, considering they don't have to worry about clipping through helmets and bulky armors and robes. While some clipping is going to happen, I remember a couple of hairstyles in DA2 clipping in the back of some of Hawke's armor and it was very off-putting--and those hair styles were shoulder length. I imagine it would be a nightmare for hair that was just hanging down the back, etc.

I want see some more variants of bobs.

Defiance (it's free now it anyone cares) has some good simple yet creative hair styles that I think they could pull off easily.

Everyone wants longer hair, but I would kill for some different pixies. Something like Hawke's female default or the pixie cut that femshep had in the "Choose the hairstyle" contest.

They have all these beautiful long hairs in Sims 4, and my go to for most of my lady sims is this cute pixie bob.  Or a nice cut just chin level, parted on the side, and tucks behind one ear.

Even when I can go long, my preference is usually short 'cute' styles, or elegant updos.

That hair style in the OP, I've always found very unattractive(on a guy or a girl). Never liked the shaved hair with longer hair hanging over look, at all. Dont understand the appeal. To each their own I guess. I dont need a lot of hair options though, if I need to I'll go bald, and the women seem to have enough, full head of hair, attractive hair styles. The guys seem to not really have any good medium to long hair options, but meh, guys facial features typically get away with being bald/really short hair more then women to me(not always the case though, sometimes women look really good with short hair, but they are rare, imo).

This is one of the most subjective things though, so it's hard for me to care too much. Kinda like Destiny, I cant believe most of the hair choices in that game for guys, but oh well.

I am too short and small in real life for a pixie, so I choose them every chance I can in a game, unless they are too harsh a cut. Sometimes they look too "roman". A soft pixie is just lovely, though. I am pretty satisfied with the braided type bun thing I saw in the CC for DA:I and will most likely choose that.

Hold up. There's actually a Tumblr post from Gaider out there somewhere addressing fan concerns with animating long hair?

Well of course I'm gonna advocate bob styles and pixie cuts. :D

Alice Cullen has some cute examples:

Longer hair is cool too for the people who want it.
Someone mentioned braids which I wish was more of a thing.

I guess I'm just unimpressed with the hair because I was expecting less boot camp and more fantasy. I can work with what we got, but we might as well have fun with the suggestions eh?

Stuff like this makes me so glad I dont use tumblr. I dont get so many of the people on tumblr, I REALLY dont, if that is a character flaw in me I'm fine with it.

I highly doubt most players would care whether the hair clips, or animates, or whatever the hangup is. When they added long hair to SWTOR, it certainly made humans more bearable for me to play. I didn't care at all that it looked "plastic".

I'll be completely honest, clipping is one of the most glaring annoyances to me in games. I can deal with it, but I very much dislike that I have to deal with it. Obvious clipping on a character you have to constantly look at makes it even worse. It's why in DAO I could never use the heavy armor with that weird right shoulder that constantly clipped near the chest of the character. It's why the only heavy armor warriors I used were dwarves because they looked awesome in their dwarven armor.
