i jus miss my pigtails.

I miss my braids from DAO. I think they were a defining style element.

Is it just me or do the hair colors you select in the CC not translate very well into the game. Besides their being no black hair, I've noticed that whenever I select dark brown or what I think dark brown is, it always ends up turning out to be a lighter shade of brown or just a slightly darker blondish color.

I was confused at how Sera and Morrigan's hair had movement, and no one else's. And I'd finaly like to have Morrigan's hair for my protag!

Wow, that is kind of rude design choice then. It is like in Mass Effect where modding Ashley Williams' hair was THE option for long hair. So annoying!

Yeah I will agree once again Bioware has showed how horrible they are with hair.  But that is nothing to how horrible the facial hair is.  I have a beard IRL.  I love beards and think men just look better and more masculine with a beard. But my Inquisitors all look like they taped a Halloween 10cent beard to their face....

I wouldn't have liked it if they would've gone over-the-top with hairstyles. Some of the hairstyle mods still make me cringe to this day because they're too.... impractical for my tastes.

Still, what they have now is really bland and boring. Guild Wars 2 has some of my more favourite practical yet interesting looking hairstyles. Would've liked something like this:

Spoiler

Love all of those but especially the 3rd one!

Maybe Bioware can get CD Projekt Red to work with them on DA4.

So, does anyone have a thought as to our chances of seeing more and better hair options patched in latter? I'm certainly no game designer, so I have no clue as to the degree to difficultly required to pull it off. And I can't say I recall any other game having more character customization options added in after launch outside of PC mods.

All the same, I'd like to see it happen.

Why do so many female hair styles have sideburns? I thought I could ignore them but alas it doesn't work. Very sad.

It's just texture, was it really that hard to remove them for women? I know I have no idea of how this stuff works and all, but it does simply seem lazy.

I would've liked more braided beards for my dwarf, but I felt the CC was pretty nice overall.

I mean, what sort of self-respecting dwarf does not have a braided beard?

Thanks a lot. Now I'll have nightmares about that sentence. Nightmares forever!

I think part of the problem is that they are trying to make the hairstyles unisex, aka Oblivion/Skyrim.
I personally preferred the hairs in DA:O.
There are only 2 or 3 hairs here that I will use. They are just plastic blob fugly.

I don't mind the hairstyles at all (okay, maybe with the exception of the 'televangelist bouffant'). Unfortunately, the same can't be said about the retina-scorchingly bad facial hair. I'm still holding off playing a male Qunari until somebody manages to make a decent beard mod.

Who cares about unisex, I would at least like to have the option of running around with a long pretty braid on my male character :(

Anyway, 10 different varieties of buzz cuts is more than a little baffling, to say the least.

The female hairstyles are horrible. When I talk to a female NPC I have to first think about the immersion breaking hairstyle, then and only then can I concentrate on what the NPC is saying.

You can talk all the smack about Assassin's Creed Unity that you want, but man the hair in that game was fabulous.  Arno would totally be able to do a Pantene commercial.  And Elise, her hair was lovely.

There certainly need to be more variety, but given this engine was originally designed for FPS, I think it was mostly okay. At least on higher settings, the shinny/gloss effect is really not flattering.

Not a fan of most hairstyles we had available.  The one in the spoiler, the inquisitor has, is actually one I like.

But for the ball, I told myself that the nobility had gotten tired of bird poop (story Lillian had told the warden) in their extremely fashionable style years ago and went to the opposite extreme.

The one reason I like the pc is when amazing people start modding hair styles and it's something I've never understood with Bioware or others, they could have a real variety of styles but they do plastic.

Is that really from the game? Not just from a pre-rendered cutscene? If so, that's very impressive.
