Wanted to ask an opinion on what combo to use to make male Shepard appear skinny. I seem to find one but wondered if you have other suggestions or can improve it. Also, which of these three combos look the skinniest to you

Kassa, Ariake, HK, Armax

Oh, also turns out I posted it in the wrong section. Not sure if I can move it to Customization

Serrice shoulder pads don't jut out quite as much as the N7 shoulder pads, and you get a power damage bonus instead of a health bonus, cuz... well... who cares about health? heh.

Hmm, I'll give them a try when I reach Ardat-Yakshi monastery. Any suggestions for other pieces?

Ariake or Kassa arms, maybe? Serrice chestplate?

What about the leg pieces you find on Arrae?

I use those all the time.

Kassa is slightly bulkier on the biceps. Ariake looks the same as HK in that regard and I prefer cloth texture to the "chainmail" of Ariake.

Serrice Chestplate is slightly bulkier on the sides and has that protruding part at the neck

Those are Kassa Fabrication. I think they look a little bulkier than Armax Arsenal.

Oops, sorry, I meant the Armax arms, but they'd be like the Kassa ones I guess. Umm... Rosenkov chestplate? Other than that, i think you got it covered.

I was going to suggest the Hahne one's but looks like you've already thought of that.

If you have the DLC maybe this armor? http://img2.wikia.no...berus_shade.jpg

The Ajax armor isn't too bad either. http://img3.wikia.no..._Ajax_Armor.png

The dragon armor is pretty 'skinny' by ME standards, I think. http://img2.wikia.no...ragon_Armor.png

Problem is that none of the armors are really all that skinny, objectively. Just a matter of which one is the least bulky.

From armor sets Inferno looked the part, but I want an N7 armor combo. Don't like helmet in cutscenes and the option to turn it off doesn't help much either because of that immersion-breaking lack of animation. Dead Space has it right with the helmets, hopefully ME:Next will have something similar.

Yep, they're like Kassa :) Rosenkov looks almost the same, but Kassa benefits from this part.

I'll give a try to Serrice Coucil shoulders with the current combo (they will benefit the playstyle either) and see how they look

What platform do you play one? If PC there is probably a N7 retexture mod for those armor sets.

Like this N7 Inferno Armor. http://www.nexusmods...ect3/mods/309/?

Funny thing is that I never, ever, ever liked the inferno armor but now that I see it in N7 colors... not too shabby. Not big on the helmet though.

Also, sorry for missing the importance of the 'N7 armor combo' in the title.

Don't worry about it :) Textures are not that important it's the model that irks me, more specifically, inability to remove helmet. The option to toggle helmet off in cutscenes doesn't help much either since it just magically disappears/appears breaking immersion in the process.

I'm with you that the Dead Space system would had been a lot better for the helmets. Still, I'm grateful the option is even there. ME2 gave you two choices: wear a helmet or don't wear a helmet. At least ME3 gives you the choice to hide it during cutscenes only. Or hell, even just hide it always. I'd rather have the option than not have it, even if the implementation isn't perfect. I went through ME2 mainly just wearing the visor because of that.

Kuwashii Visor for life! ;) Don't get me wrong, I'm glad that the option is there, though I still don't use it for the reasons mentioned in the previous posts. I want ME:Next to have something similar to Dead Space system, or at least have the animation for taking helmet off and on like this

N7 Armor all the way! I don't really like any of the other armors.

I usually mix and match: Serrice/Rosenkov armors for a power-based shep, and H-K/Armax for a weapon-based shep.

I'll sometimes mix the N7 Armor with the Armax Arsenal pieces and any other armor pieces that matches the overall armor pieces. I don't like bulky pieces.

Same here, won't use any other armors besides Hahne-Kedar set most surely.

Besides, it just looks badass :D

Surely running around in planetside combat without headwear is at least as immersion-breaking?  The camera perspective always changes between in-game footage and cutscenes anyway, I just pretend that Shep 'retracted' the helmet/visor in between.

The Inferno Armor makes Shep look like Iron Man too, which is awesome in my book.

Squared off edges give arms and lower arms a thinner look but tend to make the upper leg, shoulder and chest areas seem bulkier. When making your character you can get a leaner look from slimming down the neck, cheek and jaw bones, which doesn't actually make them skinnier but it does mess with your head a bit and make you think it does anyway. Use darker colours or no colours on the lights.

Nice work btw he looks like a guy I went to highschool with.

A bit OT, but this pic reminded me of this thread when I saw it:

Serrice is the biggest, but it also seems the closest to the body. Can't decide.
