Cole, closely followed by Cass and Solas

I believe the characters that will end up being the most deep/interesting are Cole and Solas, followed by Iron Bull, whom, based on Patrick's tweets, I presumably think is the type of character who will appear shallow on the outside but has hidden depths.

What about Cassandra?

Love Cassandra. Haven't even met her, but am already in love with the Seeker.
("In love" in a puritan way, in a sense of admiration -y'know, for her inner strength and determined personality-, not in a Zevran-like way)

Do the two have to be mutually exclusive? ![]()

Since I'm planning on a mage playthrough first...
I think Cole for rogue is a must. While I do love Varric, (he had a permanent dedicated spot in my party in DA2) I know him, so I'd like to get to know someone else. Sera seems like she'll get on my nerves.
I'm planning on taking Solas as well, he just seems too darn interesting not to. I may have to sub-out Solas for Dorian at times, just for the eye candy factor
. Vivi may be too snotty for me.
And as for my fighters. I initially ruled out Cassandra (she seems wayyy too uptight - trying to cut off my inquisitors head and castrate Varric through a book are not cool) her VA's videoclip makes me think she'll chill out, so she just may work her way into my party. However, I don't think I'll be able to resist my fellow lawful good champion of justice and goodness and dog-lover Blackwall. Iron Bull.... I'll have to meet him first to decide.

As of right now I'd guess Vivienne, Josephine, and Blackwall in no particular order.
Of course that could change once I start playing the game. And Leliana is a favorite, but I'm not counting her since she is a returning character from DA:O.

I'm excited for Cassandra too! I think she'll be my favorite female on the team. I know people complain because she seems to just say whatever comes to mind, but I actually find it extremely refreshing to have a character that is straight-forward. She won't goad you with feigned flattery only to later stab you in the back, and it makes her far more trust-worthy of a person. Plus I find her awkward-aggressiveness amusing.

Cole or Solas. I like quiet/soft spoken types, personally. Don't like loud people, don't like loud characters.

Cass, Vivienne, Sera for me.
Cass and Sera, I'm sure will be interesting. Vivienne, I do not know her at all except from visual, so I don't know but if she is like Isabella, that could be fun... Varric is always fun to hear. Among people I don't feel a lot, there is Ironbull and, maybe, Blackwall.

Definitely Cole, I already really liked him in Asunder. He's fascinating and in need of a good hug.
I also think I'll like Sera. What little we know reminds me of Isabela and Zevran, my favourites from the previous games. Only Sera seems a little less amoral than them. She seems like she'll be a great source of comedy anyway, and that always wins me over.

Dorian, Dorian and maybe Dorian.
Besides Dorian- Varric and Solas. And Dorian.

I think the most intresting character will be the Inquisitor, it might even become the most intresting Dragon age character of all as this game seems to be more far reaching in scope. The world changes at the Inquisitor's whim.

Iron Bull, Sera, or Dorian. But in terms of character intrigue I'll go with Cole.
