Should I be excited? I haven't played the game seeing as it was PS3 exclusive but between this news and the LucasArts' catalogue coming to GOG the internet has exploded.

The sequel is bullocks and the story & characters do not live up to that of the first one. I won't shed a tear over VC2 or 3 not making its way over here.

Had my eyes on this entry for quite awhile, ever since I tried out Xcom and people were recommending to play Valkyria as well, though never got around to it. Cool, gonna wait til the launch date.

Now that makes me curious too, as I'm a huge XCom fan myself.

Ah, I got it a few days back and today GMG sent me the key to activate the game.

Anyone play the game and watch the anime both? I wouldn't mind getting the story without it ever asking me to do anything myself, if the adaptation is OK.

Otherwise, I'm sure it'll be on sale sometime between now and forever, sooner than I'll probably play it.

I did both, and while the game, IMO, is superior, the anime is not bad at all. I think it's mostly due to the shorter amount of time the anime puts on most things since it's an adaptation that couldn't fit the entirety of a JRPG into it's runtime, but most of the sacrifices weren't really important to the overall story.
