Those spiders from the demo just would not die! They almost wiped out the entire squad. Granted, Cameron was playing on hard, but the spiders still seemed quite a bit tougher than they were in previous games.
That's just plain mean. I need a story mode that'll skip any spider combat, lol!
Oh, but oh! I went to Dracula Untold tonight and it had a few close-ups of spiders, specifically some tarantulas, and I looked at the bloody things and didn't scream or jump!!
I think DA is slowly starting to cure me!

They all approach from the front and at a slight angle, so as not to appear overly threatening.
And the devs confirmed on the last Twitch stream: 8 different varieties of spider.
(whether that includes Blinky or not).

Blessed be the Inquisition to rid us of those vile creatures! Oh, there's also that glowy Demon thingy in the sky, so if you're done with them foul spiders, if you'd close that it'd be nice too.

I haven't seen any HUGE spiders yet, but the Storm Coast... oh lowered. 
Yes, I am also an arachnophobe and I jumped out of my pants quite a few times in DA 1 and 2. I haven't done that in DAI yet because they don't drop from the ceiling onto your head.
There was this one moment though. I was just walking along exploring the plains when out of nowhere wolves spawned right on top of me. I nearly crapped myself.

Then, for your own sake, don´t play the "Here lies the Abyss" main quest. When you reach to it, sold the game to a friend and look for a youtube walktrought playlist and skip that mission if you want to see the rest of the main story.
Don't be ridiculous... but when you get to the end of the Fade, lean waaaaaaaay back. Trust me.

You know, I was doing pretty well in Inquisition. I cleared out the spider caves in the Storm Coast. I figured the game was basically setting it up so that spiders now only appeared in dark areas (where you need to light torches and the like). I can deal with that.
Then I'm out in the Western Expanse, casually jumping into a fight with a hyena and a couple bandits, when I see two red marks approaching quickly on my radar. I turn around, expecting more hyenas...
Nope. Poison Spiders.
Dammit.
