Uhuh, for me it's the legs and the way they skitter.
It's their ass that scares me most.

Funny how arachnophobia makes you scared of the fake sound that some artist decided to put on the game spiders (considering that in real life spiders don't make that sound) Not trying to sound rude or anything, I'm just curious.
I cannot remember any other surprise encounter, save from Snowball and the one in the Emerald Graves.
I mean the hiss from the old game was disturbing, but their new sounds don't bug me at all. The hissing just sounded ominous.
Oh man, spiders can be fun
They're just dumb dorks, that's what they are.
Silly gifs aside, I hope people manage to make a mod like that for you, OP. I'm not at all afraid of spiders myself (I actually think tarantulas are quiet petable) but I can understand the problem.
Facing them would be one really easy way to overcome or at least ease that phobia.
It's videogame, I can guarantee they won't actually hurt you in any way.
PD: Cats < spiders < dogs
I happen to be a huge dragon fan , but the only reason i could play origins and dragon age 2 was because people had created mods to replace spiders with mabari or bears in dragon age nexus.
Is it possible that this can be done in dragon age inquisition , please i want to play a spider free game without panic attacks
Fight your fears bro.
I hate spiders too and always wonder why every fantasy RPG absolutely HAS TO have giant ****** spiders, but you just have to deal with your fears at some point, can't have an irrational fear control you.

It's a phobia, so it's not rational.
For me it's a tactile thing. My skin crawls and I believe I can feel their legs crawling all over me if they're realistic looking enough.
Luckily the DA:I spiders aren't as triggering for me as D&D Online or DA:O spiders.
Blinky has multiple legs, a head part with LOTS of eyes and an abdomen behind him and about 5 times bigger than normal folk. He's a big kawaii demonic spider

I was nervous about facing blinky, but when I got to the fade I giggled through the entire encounter. ![]()
I like spiders AND clowns... especially evil clowns. But there definitely should have been an option to pick your fear, everyone saw spiders during the fade mission and literally every Inquisitor has to be afraid of spiders.Dude there's limits! i mean spiders are scary for some people but evil clowns? its not a survival horror game.
It's their ass that scares me most.
I spit my drink out laughing at this lol.
That's weird.
I actually hate spiders. I don't really "fear" them per say (I.E. not jumping around or running away when I see one... I'm just lie "uuuuugh ugly thing right there! Me need stone to throw at ugly thing!") but I find them really ugly and often just kill it when I see one in my bedroom (sorry, but yeah). I'm not using the flamethrower though, need to keep the house intact 'ya know. But I am honestly disgusted by spiders in general, even the smallest ones. I swear those things come from another planet.
BUT... with this said, the weird part is that spiders in video games do not do that same effect on me. That's probably because they're SO BIG it's not even "life-life" or even plausible anymore. You'd have spiders the size of a fully-grown pig, or a car, or a school bus, they spit acid balls the same way Reptile does in Mortal Kombat... I mean c'mon. In fact I'm pleased I can kill them (often with fire... spells mostly) in games.
* orders Solas to AoE spiders with Meteor * "TAKE THAT YOU FILTHY THING!" Oh yeah... oooooh yeah, much better now, much better.
I can understand the issue for some people though, yeah, it's annoying. I'd personally replace them with Red Lyrium Nugs, but those would be nigh impossible to kill.
