Or funniest.
Banshee ball hit me & knocked me off map on Rio. I came back to life 2x but off map & died third revive I was on map.
Playing a drell, which I don't do often, ran thru 3 swarmers in between waves. lol stayin classy.

Any death that occurs immediately before the extraction timer hits 0:00.

 

Also any death that occurs between waves, especially when all of my allies have already run off to suppress spawns.

It was a team effort.

 

I got gunned down by a combat engineer who happened to be the last enemy. PUG #1 came to revive me without dealing with the engineer and got gunned down too. PUG #2 made the same mistake. PUG #3 takes care of the engineer. The end.

I got pulled/yanked by a banshee into a sync kill despite being very far,and running. There where other ways,but I forgot.

For the most part, extraction seems to go fairly well in my circles. Not too much crazy there.

But there was one operation weekend... waaaaaaaaaay back when, back when my husband was still playing the game with me even... when I had my most exciting/fulfilling extraction.

I died gloriously ensuring my husband got his commendation pack.

I've played the hero several times, but only one Ultimate Sacrifice moment springs to mind (fortunately, I can usually play the hero and live to later tell the tale).

It was an operation weekend ages ago, where squad goal was to extract at least one person on Reapers Gold. I had already completed the challenge for myself on Friday night with a great PUG group. It was now Sunday and I was trying to help my husband get his goal done. At the time, I was a veteran Silver player trying to get better at Gold... and my husband was a stout Bronze lover who would gripe and complain when I'd drag him into Silver. So, this was his first taste of Gold, and Reapers Gold at that.

I called in two of my buddies who did more Gold than I did at the time. The three of us pull my husband's Krogan Soldier into the room. I've got my go-to Turian Sentinel. My two friends, I don't recall now what they were for all the games. But it was just One of Those Days. We played several matches at several locations and would make it to Wave 9 or 10, and then wipe. Soooo frustrating.

The last match we agreed to play (because I was just reaching exhaustion level for trying to help carry my husband through Gold when I was not quite Gold-caliber yet) was at Hydra. One buddy took an Asari Justicar at my request... he had a bubble specced for Warp, so he and I could try and play crowd control with BEs. The other friend took a Geth Infiltrator.

Match proves to be craziness like the others had been. But we make it to extraction wave, finally. We all know that only one of us has to make it out alive, and we all agree to protect the GI since he could, at the last moment, cloak and beeline for the LZ. My husband tries to be a hero and rushes his krogan off to a spawn point and promptly gets brute-grabbed. The Justicar and I two-man it, trying to draw the enemies' attention while the GI constantly cloaks and keeps moving around the map just to stay alive. At some point in the chaos, I get separated from my Justicar friend and he goes down.

There's 20 seconds left. I see my GI buddy cloaked and against cover in the LZ. To his left, an entire army of Reapers comes pouring towards the LZ. He's made his dash to the LZ far too early, but we can't undo the action now. He's a sitting duck. I'm a Turian Sentinel with tech armor and max fitness. Only one of us has to make it out alive. I make my decision. With a war cry for the ages over the mic, I run head-first into the horde a la Grunt in the Rachni Cave. My husband shouts out over the mic (watching me in spectator mode), "What are you doing?! They'll eat you alive!" I answer with, "I know. That's the point. I have to be the bait now. I have to protect our geth unit." I shoot. I punch. I yell at the Reapers to come get a piece of me. I'm a tasty turian. I can take the punishment. Give me all your aggro and pay no attention to the cloaked geth hiding in the LZ.

With about 5 seconds left on the extraction timer, I ultimately go down and watch as the Reapers dance upon my broken body. But I swear, before he took his final, rattling breath, I could see my brave Turian Sentinel turn his head, watch the shuttle rescue our Geth Infiltrator, and die with a smile upon his face. My husband would get his commendation pack.

Victory at all costs.

Has to be being in a sync-kill animation of a Praetorian three times in a row, and getting killed by a Phantom every time before the animation was completed, only to be finally synced by her in the end. It was brutal!

It was the troll drone that goes to the area outside the basement in back. Prime is following closely, we're down to two men, and a Banshee warps in after we get our $$$. It get grabbed by her, the killed by phantom. Ressurected, stabbed by phantom, killed by Prime. Stunlocked after getting resurrected again, grabbed by banshee , pop and ops pack, while attempting to escape, so I survive my third sync. Get warped upon standing, slashed by phantom (by now we're around the corner near the ammo box near the LZ ladder) then Banshee lol warps and grabs me while I get stabbed at the SAME TIME. Guess what happened? Killed by Prime, out of gel.

 

Then there's racist Geth on Condor. I pick HE, walk into w7 spawn and get greeted by about 6 rockets from Rocket Troopers. That's a whole nother story...

Got taken down to health gate as a Turian Havok. Instead of using a stim pack I dodged out the way and fell off the walkway on London. Turns out the fall kills you.

I've also locked myself in the reactor a couple of times, once due to the omni button, and once when I tried to trick some pugs by hitting the button and running through. I got staggered by something in the middle of the reactor and received some instant, toasty karma.

That's not to mention all the stupid ways I've killed myself with possessed abominations.

Worst death I have seen on YouTube...

TheTechnoTurian getting stomped by a Dragoon mere seconds from Extraction. This cost her a Platinum solo, and it's one of those deaths that makes you hate the culprit in question. Since watching that video, I have always made my fights with Dragoons more personal, as in: "This is for TheTechnoTurian, you son of a ******!"

A recent one:

Spot a marauder at a distance, start havoc strike. Banshee starts her grab animation as I start my havoc strike. 

Turian havoc is stuck between two animations - havoc strike and the banshee hand through the gut.

 

Result: Havoc slowly moving in the air, in a crouched position (the position when banshee performs her sync kill).

Weird lag shenanigans occur as my havoc's corpse kept switching a couple of times between the initial position (at the start of the ramp), and the bottom of the ramp (where the marauder was). The ramp I am referring to is the one by Vancouver's LZ.

 

Killfeed: TheNightSlasher was taken down by Banshee.

It was so funny that it is probably the death I enjoyed the most, and hence the best.

I got shanked by a phantom at the start of charge, only to die at the end of it.

 

I had banshee pull me into her embrace while running away from her.

 

I killed collector trooper, got killed by his buddy, had the one I killed pull a space Jesus on me and stomp me.

 

I got synced by prime on wave three.

I love doing grabs. So whenever I see a reasonable chance to get one, any conscious thought processes that may still be active go into pause mode until the grab has been executed. That is not always a good idea with Possessed Abominations. Dodging into Ravager goo on health gate used to be a signature move of mine as well.

It wasn't mine, but the best death I ever saw was when two Dragoons whiplashed my Krogan teammate off of the ship and into the Rio ocean. He was still on the scoreboard but didn't return in game after that. Guess he drowned

I once loaded into a gip and was immediately instakilled by a phantom. I guess that's my favorite... 

Rivals with yesterday, though. I accidentally used Shadow Strike on a swarmer... and somehow missed. Then proceeded to be downed by said swarmer.

 

Yeah... I'm not too fun to play with.

Had a match against the reapers yesterday playing as the fury. I teleport to dodge the brute death slash and get grabbed by his friend right as a banshee magnet hands me. The result is brute slam, instant revive, hand through stomach yet the bleed out screen comes up instead. In the kill feed it said taken down by marauder both times. A teammate rezes me into a husk grab and before I can finish the head stomp brute hulk smash; my squadmates forgot it was still alive until then. Quite funny when enemies cancel each other out.

don't know, but everytime I start the biotic charge and I can tell by the angle of the starting animation that I did not aimed for the cannibal but the red marks overlapping brute just next/side/behind/in front of it... i know that the slam/grab/slam on the floor animation is coming...

Most rage inducing : wave 11 of a plat solo, I'm downed with around 30 seconds left and I don't have a gel. I press the button like a maniac but it's too late : I bled out... 2 seconds before extraction. I know since then that the PS3 controller is very resistant  .

 

Most ridiculous : I once trapped myself into the reactor, and have been sync-killed wave 1 in a solo ;

 

Most weird :  I'm playing the AIU on FB White. I have Repair Matrix activated, and I am killed in one of the stairs of the map but, instead of being revived, I partially fall into the structure. I have now the legs below the stairs but the arms above, so I can't move but I can shoot ! The enemies can't touch me so I'm invincible. I spent 3 waves like that and, of course, missed extraction. The guys I was playing with had mics, they seemed very amused by my situation.

I had a death like this playing silver collectors on Jade with 1 second left. Game didn't care about my ops packs or anything lol. Hope the people I played with remember who got them to extraction. Had to solo wave 10 cause everyone lined up to hug Scions or something

The first time CEBK blew me up with an A-bomb. 

 

She killed the whole team, it was Collectors/Reactor Hazard, and during the wave 10 hack at the top of the ladder near LZ, she missiled 2 A-Bombs before I could get away. 

 

I've never laughed so hard.
